A young skeleton giggled as he skipped back home from the forest. Jasper was out collecting some wild berries and flowers for some paint and dye. He liked creating some things for the town, and he was rather good at it.

"Help!" A weak voice called, it was off the path... "Someone... Please..."

The monster was hesitant, but when he heard it call again, this time even more weakly, the young teen hurried over to it.

He ran towards the voice, desperate to help them in any way he could. Jam didn't want someone to be hurt or worse!

When the ink monster got to the place where he thought the voice was, no one was there...

"Hello? Is anyone there?" He called out, his eyes wide with worry... Maybe the person was a monster! They could've dusted and he wouldn't've known!

"Yes there is..." A meek voice whispered in his ear, strong arms trapping him in a tight embrace.

"Hey!" The teen shouted, struggling in their arms.

A weak chuckle sounded as their breath fanned over his neck.

"So feisty... Blood so pure..." They groaned, lightly nipping Jasper's bones.

His eyes widen as he felt the sharpness of their teeth.

"V-Vampire..." Jas whimpered, his struggling ceased. Vampires are naturally strong, it doesn't matter how weak they are... They're stronger than any mortal... Meaning no matter what, the ink monster wasn't going to get out of it anytime soon.

The thing chuckled, purring something too soft for the mortal to hear.

The poor victim felt it sink it's teeth into his collar bone, the pain... It wasn't like anything he could've imagine!

"AAAAHHHH!" His screams grew louder and louder the longer it drained his of his blood.

His struggling started again. He didn't stop thrashing around, forcing the beast to pin him to the ground.

"S-Stop, p-please..." The young mortal whined, tears falling from his eyes as his body grew heavy... The world was spinning...

The thing let him go, it's vile tongue licking up the blood the slowly was falling down.

"Now, you're mine." Was the last thing Jasper heard as he fell under.

The monster teen gasped as he jolted up. His odd soul pounded in his chest as he looked around. The ink monster was still in the forest, surrounded by darkness with the moon and stars shining above...

The teen's hands felt clammy as he reached for my neck. There were was a half circle of teeth, the wound already scabbing over.

A sick feeling fell in the pit of his stomach. The juvenile scurried to his feet and grabbed his discarded basket and rushed home... His Uncle so wasn't going to be happy with him.

"Where have you been! It's almost midnight! You know that's when the rogues come out to hunt!" He shouted, his eyes boring into the younger's.

"I-In th-the fo-forest... I-I'm so-sorry, Un-Uncle..." Jasper whispered, bowing his head.

The older dark skeleton sighed as he pulled his young nephew into a protective hug. The younger hugged back, fear and uneasiness inside of him.

"What would I do without you..." He muttered under his breath, giving the ink skeleton a gentle squeeze.

He just buried his head in his Uncle's neck, resisting the urge to cry. He couldn't let on that something was wrong... If he did then it was over... It would be all over...
