Juvamoon. Also, my Sis drew this.

Fresh giggled softly as she watched the land-walkers above her. She liked the dark one in particular... The one wearing the large fancy looking hat with a bright, multicolored feather sticking out of a dark strap.

The mermaid lightly swished her tail in excitement as the land-walker started talking with some other land-walker... A woman.

He didn't really look happy, in fact he looked to scolding the woman! Fresh liked seeing him not take to the land-walking women. They were never loyal, not to him, not to their children and certainly not to their own mates!

Soon, the dark land-walker walked onto the boat and the woman ran away, so the beautiful mermaid thought it was time she headed back to her little home.

Keeping low to the floor, she swam fast, avoiding sharks and eels and other things that would eat her, or at most damage her rainbow tail.

Eventually, she made her way to her little island. Many sailors passed by her island, but almost none of them would see it. Those that did, usually ended up dead.

This mainly was because of an odd curse that Fresh's mother had placed on the island. Anyone who was unwelcomed or meant ill towards the place, they would be either stranded or drowned. All of the people who died, were simply drowned.

Carefully, the young mermaid beached herself, stretching out her pale arms and hands to reach a little further up the sand.

There, she was able to grab onto something. A shell... A beautifully rare shell, that would've been worth many gold to humans.

Though, the lonely mer didn't really care all that much. In fact, the colors of the shell just reminded her of her land-walker's eyes...

Happily, the creature swayed her tail in the low tide's water, making soft purring sounds. Before long, tiredness surrounded her and lulled her to a blissful sleep of her little land-walker.

Paperjam huffed softly as he had his shipped anchored near the mythical island of Reas.

In legend, Reas was a powerful sorceress mermaid who fell in love with a merman of a different "Pod" as the groupings of the mer-folk were called. However, the merman didn't love her, so using magic, she forced him to become her mate, unwillingly. Of course, this was taboo and she was immediately exiled while another magic user freed the poor merman.

Reas had apparently fled, bearing a child, to the island. Soon after the child's birth, she cursed the water's near the island, having no mortal or any other being coming near it... Unless the sought death.

"Captain! Look!" A human shouted, pointing frantically towards the island.

The dark captain huffed, and took out his telescope, focusing on the spot his crew member was pointing at.

What he saw, was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

Laying flat on their stomach, was a pale woman, who's pale golden hair flowed in a wavy mess, then there was her tail. The tail was a mixture of colors, all blending together to make something similar to camouflage.

But that wasn't what made her beautiful... It was her face.

Soft pink pouty lips with delicate eyes and an innocent mold of her face. She looked so peaceful sleeping on the sand in the setting of the sun.

The creature's tail lazily waved in the lapping water, sometimes covering it in the adding light.

Suddenly, she jolted up, bits of yellow sand clinging to her face, to which she brushed off.

The mermaid looked around, almost scared looking, holding something close to her chest.

After a bit, she moved closer to the water line.

Paper cursed under his breath as he watched this. If she went under, they'd never get her.

Thankfully, she didn't. Instead, she just got close enough to the water to have most of her tail submerged.

Fresh laid back down on the sand, laying on her pale stomach so she could have the beautiful shell close to her soul.

Once again, she fell asleep, this time with the setting sun as her light. She could hunt for food later in the night.

The pirates waited, waited for till the sun was completely down and the old moon had risen.

When that had happen, the pirate captain took a few men and rowed a boat to the shore. The mermaid was still sleeping peacefully, maybe even more so than before.

Being as gentle as he could, he picked the sleeping creature up. Quickly, but quietly, they rowed back to the large boat.

Oddly, the waters became choppy and rough, but they weren't really deadly... If they got out of thier quickly.

Paperjam looked down at the sleeping beauty in his arms, the moonlight making her skin glow so peacefully. Her hair seemed to have become like gold, so peaceful and gorgeous...

The ship approached fast and it wasn't long till they were sailing far away from the island and off to somewhere else.

The Captain went to his room, where he placed the tailed woman into a large container. He then knelt down beside it, gently brushing a hand on her cheek.

She was so beauitful...

He was going to keep her.
