This year we shared potions with Slytherin and even before we had the chance to start the class, Professor Snape had separated us into pair and organised a seating chart. Looking at the chart that was on one of the blackboards, I saw that everyone was paired up with a student from the opposite house. Looking down the list I saw that I was paired with Zane Zimmerman and we were seated at the back of the room. The fact the we were put at the back of the room meant that Professor Snape trusted both of us enough that we knew what we were doing as well as that we wouldn't disrupt the class. I couldn't help but giggle a little bit when I noticed that Henry was seated at the front of the room. There was more to Henry that the eternally relaxed boy that everyone saw, he was actually extremely bright but the one subject he was not good at was potions. Last year he had managed to completely melt one of the cauldron's, which Professor Snape was not happy about. So, I guessed Henry was put at the front of the room so he could be easily watched.

I couldn't help but feel a little hurt when Cedric brushed past me without saying a word to me as he took his seat next to Adrian Pucey. I combed back through this morning and last night, trying to figure out if I had said anything to upset him but I couldn't think one thing. He was laughing with me this morning as I got my sleeve got stuck in the zipper of my bag. Whatever had made him upset happened while I was with Hagrid. I just had to find out what had happened to my best friend.

Authors note: Before I continue on, I would like to introduce the one and only John Boyega as Zane Zimmerman. I originally had this character's name as Stanley, but when I picked John Boyega for the character, I had to change the name. I love John Boyega and I couldn't see him as a Stanley. I have gone back and changed the name in the few chapters that the character has popped up in previously, just in case anyone gets confused.

In the middle me trying to figure out how I was going to figure out how I was going to find out what was wrong with Cedric, Zane pulled out the seat next to me and sat down without saying a word to me

In the middle me trying to figure out how I was going to figure out how I was going to find out what was wrong with Cedric, Zane pulled out the seat next to me and sat down without saying a word to me. Zane never spoke much and didn't seem to have many friends, so I figured while he was my potion partner, I would get to know the boy. After Professor Snape instructed us on how to make pepperup potion, I decided I would introduce myself.
