Omkara entered the kitchen to make some tea for himself late in the evening, when he saw Rudra taking a parantha off the pan.

"Rudra, are you really going eat carbs-laden paranthas?" asked Omkara amazed.

"Of course not O. I'm making this for Sumo. Its her first day of internship, and she texted me that she'll be home late, so I got this ready for her. Could you believe that they make people work so hard at a research internship?" asked Rudra.

"Yes, I could because 'research' is not as simple as you think, otherwise Ph.D. wouldn't take years to complete. And you better not tell Soumya this, she'll roast you. You know what I find hard to believe? Rudra Singh Oberoi in the kitchen making a meal full of carbs for his girlfriend. Though I'm happy about that. Loads better than building your abs and doing stupid things to attract girls in college" said Om.

"You make me blush" said Rudra, making a mock-shy face. "Chalo, I'll see you later, O. Soumya will be here in some time. GN."

Omkara nodded.

As he boiled some tea leaves for himself, he smirked at how love had changed his brothers, though neither of them would outrightly admit to it. Both his brothers were busy yesterday, enjoying their Sundays. Rudra and Soumya went on a date, and Shivaay who even worked on Sundays, was almost locked up in his room the entire day. This morning all of four of them, his brothers, Annika bhaabhi and Soumya were looking self-conscious. Rudra and Soumya were oddly blushing, while the other two, were busy trying to pretend that they were not trying to catch each other's eyes. Annika bhaabhi's health had greatly improved over the weekend, and Shivaay seemed to be taking full advantage of that.

Prinku found it all really funny, and could barely contain her giggle, making Omkara elbow her to keep it under wraps in front of the elders. What puzzled Omkara was why was he feeling a strange feeling in his heart, as if he was left-out, as if there was something in his reach he couldn't have, when he looked at his brothers, their eyes full of affection for their partners.

Omkara unconsciously picked out a glucose biscuit from the jar, and mixed it in his tea. While sipping the tea he realized what he had done, but yet the tea didn't taste like how she made it. There was something else when she made him tea. Omkara sighed. Who was he fooling? He missed her.

"Uh uh" someone coughed.

Omkara looked sideways to see his father standing at the entrance of the kitchen.

"And what makes you think I would be interested in talking to you?" asked Omkara, picking up his mug and trying to leave, when Tej blocked his path.

"You are right in your place, Om beta, but please hear me out, this is important. This is about the contract we signed" said Tej, almost pleading.

The word 'contract' stopped Omkara. What was his father up to now? He nodded and gestured Tej to move the conversation to his room.

"What?" asked Om, shortly, when they reached his room.

"This contract....about your joining the business....your mother and my marriage...I've cancelled it" said Tej.

"Cancelled it? What do you mean?" asked Om, worried that his father was going to break off from his mother. Had he, Omkara, messed up in business somewhere?

"The decree of restitution you got months back, ends in a few weeks. After that, the court will give Jahnvi and me an option to either file for divorce, or stay together. I've decided, actually I decided long back, that I don't want a divorce from your mother anymore. Though I don't know about her. So, since that barrier is removed, you don't have to do this..business...anymore" said Tej.
