Gauri felt slightly unreal, as she got down from the bus, which dropped her off just five minutes away from the art gallery. She still had time to back down, turn around, go away.

Dandi bhaiyaa was not happy over her decision to see the exhibition for herself. He made various arguments against it, but gave up when he realized that Gauri would walk to her own downfall, like a fool.

He suggested that he would accompany Gauri to the exhibition, but Gauri shot down the idea, as he still had two weeks left of his tour. Gauri boarded a bus to Mumbai last night, and reached in the morning.

Gauri was still dithering: should she go or not? What would she get by seeing what he has painted? Maybe a certain curiosity about seeing his art work in real time would be satisfied but beyond that?

There was nothing between them, he said that clearly that she had no place in his heart, in his life, then why? Gauri didn't know the answer to these questions. But once she had decided something, she followed with her decision, whatever be the consequences.

Gauri covered her face, with her large dupatta. She didn't want to be seen by anyone, especially not Omkaraji. There was a high possibility that the Oberois were there, after all, Omkaraji put up an exhibition after so many months. Gauri veiled her face heavily.

She entered the gallery with a group of people, art students by the sight of them. Gauri looked young, college going age, so the guards assumed she was part of the group, though they felt a little suspicious seeing her traditional clothes.

Gauri stepped into the gallery, and peered around to see the paintings. They were all different kind of paintings: some black and white sketches, some looked like photographs, and some looked oddly smudged and solid, a person standing next to her talked about "oils", maybe these paintings were painted with some oil-like paint?

Gauri saw twin paintings placed side-by-side in the center of the gallery, they seemed to be the center of attraction, so she thought to see them first.

She knew why. These twin paintings were the memory of that night, the night that inspired Omkaraji. The starry sky above and below them, but wait, them? Omkaraji had painted two figures, had he represented Gauri too?  But why?
