Gauri was exhausted at the end of the day, as she sat down on her bed after returning from her Sunday school, and also a little disappointed.

She persuaded her teacher at school to set her an impromptu English test. While she could manage the written portions, her oral test was horrible. Her teacher didn't think so though, he felt she was doing fine.

But he didn't know that foreign buyers were visiting Gauri and her group tomorrow, and how in the world would she converse with them, if she couldn't master English?

It had been close to five months that she had joined adult school, and half a month that she had been taking private tuitions set by Nanaji, yet her spoken English was not up to the mark.

On the way back home, Gauri had called up Dandi bhaiyaa, and shared her dissatisfaction with him. Dandi bhaiyaa consoled her that she was doing fine for someone who started schooling a few months back.

He reminded her of all the other things that Gauri had been doing along with school : earning her living in the new city, saving herself from the clutches of a criminal like Kali Thakur, helping out the Oberoi family with their unusual troubles, finding her sister and her true identity, and so much more. How is a person supposed to perform their best with so much happening around them? Even keeping up with classes was an achievement for Gauri, according to Dandi bhaiyaa.

Gauri reflected on Dandi bhaiyaa's words. While they did console her, she was still disappointed with herself. If the foreign buyers are not impressed tomorrow, then she would be letting Jahnvi Maaji and Nanaji down, who had shown so much faith in her abilities. She didn't want to see disappointment in their eyes.

Gauri hoped that Shankarji will take care of everything tomorrow. Thinking so, she set back to work on her meeting tomorrow with the buyers.

Soumya was feeling conflicted, as she thought about what happened today.

Usually weekends were reserved for her and Rudra's private time. But this weekend he was stuck on working in some upcoming merger at the Ranas. Soumya utilized that time, to do the unthinkable. She went to prison, to meet Svetlana.

"I was wondering when I would be seeing you" said Svetlana, as she sat up straight on her prison cot.

Jail didn't impact Svetlana's looks much. She was best groomed prisoner in her compound, if that could indeed be a worthwhile thing.

Soumya looked at her immaculately filed nails, painted red.

"How are you able to get a manicure in prison?" asked an astounded Soumya.

There were so many other things that she could have asked, or wanted to ask. Instead, she blurted out her surprise the moment she saw her.

Svetlana laughed. Not her usual fake, throaty laugh, but a genuine amusement at Soumya's words.

"Well, I am Svetlana, after all. I can manage to get whatever I want, except get out of this prison cell. Aren't you going to ask me anything important, sister?" asked Svetlana.

"Did you....did you know beforehand?" asked Soumya.

"I knew I had a sister, who my mother gave away for adoption, but I had no idea it was you. I came to know the day you met Mom. She called me to inform me of this, and I assume she called Tia as well. Tia, of course, didn't know that her sister didn't die at birth. Mom and I lied to her. She was a kid, already going through pain of losing her father" said Svetlana.
