A few weeks passed, and everything went back to normal. Y/n and Remus haven't gone on a mission, but they were helping out any way they could. Neither of them were ready to do another mission, not yet at least.

Lately, Remus had been thinking about the ring. He still hadn't asked her yet, for some reason he was scared to. Even if he knew how much Y/n loved him, how much she absolutely adored him. Each night while Y/n was sleeping, he'd pull out the ring from the nightstand and stare at it. He still didn't have a thing planned out, him and the boys had been brainstorming ideas, and romantic ways for Remus to ask her. But they had some of the most embarrassing ways ever.

Today, Y/n would be out shopping with James and her mother. So this gave Remus the opportunity to figure something out, he wanted to propose soon, but he wanted it to be something special for both him and Y/n. The man currently sat at the kitchen table, writing a few things down on a spare piece of paper, the ring sitting open in front of him.

He knew that a dinner at a fancy restaurant would definitely be cheesy, so that was most definitely crossed off the list. That's how he came up with a picnic, it was still cheesy, but less cheesy.

𝑝𝑖𝑐𝑛𝑖𝑐. 𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑎 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ? 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑘, 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑦.
𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑟, 𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑒, 𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘. 𝑝𝑜𝑝 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑖𝑑𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡?

Remus sighed, staring down at the piece of paper. It seemed too simple, and far too boring. He wanted to really 'wow', Y/n. He added fireworks to the list, but instantly crossed it off shaking his head.

"Doesn't feel right." Remus mumbled, as he tapped the table with his pen.

He looked up and stared at the beautiful rin in front of him, hoping that staring at it would give him some sort of idea. But of course it didn't. He frowned, normally in situations like this he'd ask for Y/n's opinion, but naturally in this situation he couldn't. And then it hit him, he could as Lily.

"How dumb can I get!" Remus said to himself, as he stood from the table and walked over to the phone.

He grabbed the phone, and dialed Lily's number. It rang twice, before it clicked "Hello?"

"Lily, I need your help." Remus said, not giving her any explanation at all.

"Remus? What's wrong? Did something happen with Y/n, or with James?" Liky asked frantically.

"No, they're still shopping with Euphemia." Remus said, "But I really need your help with something, and you're one of the only people who knows Y/n best."

"What advice do you need?" Lily asked, "I mean, I dunno if I know her best, but I know her pretty well." She hummed.

"Well, I need advice on how to propose to her." Remus said, as he sat down on the couch.

Lily gasped loudly, and something must've fallen from her hands, cause there was a loud thud "Oh my gosh, really? When!?"

"I dunno, soon." Remus said, "But I dunno how to ask, without it being insanely cheesy." He said with a sigh.
