I took a seat next to neji with a smile. It was New years eve and tonight we were watching fireworks to celebrate the end of the year.
"this is going to be fun" neji smiled at me "the fireworks are going to be beautiful aren't they sasiko?" he bounced our baby girl in his arms.
"aba" sasiko cooed happily.
I chuckled and wrapped an arm around my husband. I'm completely new to this whole father thing but I love my little girl and my new little family. It feels like everything is going to be OK.
"alright everyone it's time to do the countdown" our new hokage naruto yelled in the mic.
"can he be any more obnoxious?" I put a finger in my ear with an annoyed expression.
"aww come on don't be mean" neji snuggled into me "he is going to be your brother-in-law soon"
"oh lucky me" I rolled my eyes.
"come on its time for the countdown" neji pointed up at the sky where kakashi sensai was forming numbers using water jitsu.
