Shikamarus pov
I sat at the table with my parents eating breakfast like I did everyday. Things were completely normal until..
"hello shikamaru" I nearly spat out my foot at the sight of neji standing in my kitchen!
"young man what on earth are you doing in my kitchen" mom yelled.
"the door was open so I walked in" he said simply.
"that's it boy you better get out of here before I-"
"mom it's ok" I stood in front of neji quickly before mom could attack the poor boy "he's my friend"
"this boys your friend?" mom looked at me in disbelief.
I turned to neji "neji you can't just walk in uninvited"
"but you walked into my house" neji replied. He clearly doesn't understand.
"yeah but hinata invited me inside" I explained to him "when you're visiting someone's house you have to knock on the door and wait to be let in"
"ah I see I misunderstood" he bowed apologetically "I'm very sorry. I'm new to visiting other people's houses so I don't really understand how things work" he's never been to others peoples houses before!?
My father chuckled "I like this boy. Would you like to have breakfast with us son?"
"yes please sir" he smiled before taking a seat next to me.
"here you go hun" mom said placing a plate in front of neji "it's so nice to see shikamaru making new friends"
"I have plenty of friends mom. I just don't bring them all around here" I rolled my eyes "say neji how did you find out where I live?"
"naruto told me" he replied.
"of course" I sighed. I guess this kids my responsibility now.
