Shikamarus pov
I was laying down in the grass daydreaming when...
"shikamaru" I heard nejis voice and smiled. We've only been dating a short while in secret but it already feel so natural to be with him. Is this what love is like?
"hey babe" I sat up and smiled at him.
"what'cha doing?" he asked as he took a seat next to me.
"oh you know just lazing about as usual" I muttered.
"Well I guess there's no harm in resting every once in a while or in your case all the time" he smirked at me.
"oh ha ha very funny" I said as I tickled him. Not many people know this but the hyuga is incredibly ticklish.
"hahaha ok I'm sorry mercy mercy!" he begged.
I grinned and pulled him onto my lap "no need to apologise baby. I'm not mad. I just love hearing you laugh"
"your an asshole" he muttered as he wrapped his arms around my neck.
"yeah but I'm your asshole" I said kissing him all over, making him giggle.
Our lovey dovie moment was cut off by the sound of footsteps. We quickly pulled away before choji and ino arrived.
"shikamaru there you are. We've been looking for-oh hi neji" choji looked at neji in surprise.
"hi guys" neji waved nervously.
"I didn't know you and shikamaru hung out" ino looked at us suspiciously.
"we've gotten closer recently" I said quickly.
Ino and choji whispered amongst themselves for a moment before turning back to us "neji how would you like to join us for dinner?"
"Umm sure" neji muttered nervously.
Crap she's onto us. We best be on our gaurd during this meal.
