I clung to shikamarus arm as I was taken to the nara estate. We were only recently on first name basis and now I'm expected to marry this guy. I don't know why I'm surprised. The Hyuga clan has never cared about me.
"alright neji we're home" shikamaru said as he swung the door open. The Nara household was surprisingly smaller than the hyuga household. It looked cozy though.
I took a step inside. It was so small and cozy. Like a cottage out of the fairytales my father used to read me.
"so you like it?" shikamaru asked.
I nodded "it's cozy"
"cozy eh?" shikamaru chuckled.
"did I say something wrong?" I asked nervously.
"no darling" he stroked my hair with a gentle smile "I just... hear a hyuga say something so nice"
"Well they never really considered me a hyuga" I sighed.
"Well there right" shikamaru muttered "your not a hyuga"
How could he say something so cruel? I lowered my head so that he wouldn't see my tears.
I looked up in surprise. He was petting my head with a gentle smile.
"your better then that. Your a nara!"
