Shikamarus pov
I was walking down the hallway when...
"shika!" neji came behind me and hugged me tightly.
"who's your little friend shika?" my best friend naruto waggled his eyebrows playfully.
"none of your damn business" I flipped the bird at him before dragging neji away.
Once we were away from prying eyes I turned to neji with a smile "what's up kid?"
"Umm I wanted to tell you that I have a new reason to live" he played with his thumbs nervously.
"that's wonderful!" I pulled him into a hug "aww kid I'm so happy for you. What's your reason? I want to know if I helped you!"
"oh you did. After all my reason for living is so I can see you everyday" he blushed slightly. I was a little taken aback.
His reason for living is me?
I couldn't control myself. I leaned in and kissed his soft lips. I slowly pulled away. Neji face had turned scarlet.
"shika" neji muttered in disbelief.
"I love you baby" I said leaning against his forehead.
"I love you too" he whimpered as tears rolled down his cheeks.
I gently wiped away his tears. Poor kid. I can't imagine the things he's going through but I'm here for him now and I'm not going anywhere!
