Shikamarus pov
I ran after the boy which wasn't hard seeing as he tripped on his way over to the stairs.
"neji are you alright?" I asked softly. He didn't seem hurt but he was sobbing his heart out.
"please you can't send me back to them!" he clung to me desperately "please I'll do anything!"
He's so scared. I have to calm him down somehow!
I pulled him into a hug "settle down sweetheart. We won't send you to them if you don't want to. Just please tell me what they did to you?"
He took a deep breath "they give me these bruses" he pulled down his sleeve, revealing dark purple bruses "I still remember how they locked me in the dark closet for weeks on end. I never saw anything after that"
My eyes widened. He wasn't born blind. It was caused by trauma!
"those basturds" I muttered under my breath.
"please don't send me back" he screamed into my chest.
I sighed as I held him close "I already told you that we're not sending you away. Your safe with us darling. I promise"
