I stuck my head into a nearby lake. I wasn't trying to drown myself like some would assume. It was just when my head was underwater I couldn't hear anything. Even my thoughts were silenced. It was peaceful. Sure my lungs end up burning from holding my breath for so long but anythings better than listening to my own self doubts-
I was suddenly brought back to reality when someone pulled me out of the water. I blinked a couple of times to see that that person was neji.
"shikamaru" he fell against my chest sobbing "you *hic* idiot! Don't *hic* scare me like that!"
I was surprised. He really cares that much about me?
"I'm sorry neji" I gently petted his head "I didn't mean to scare you. Don't worry. I promise I'm not going anywhere"
