Shikamarus pov
I quietly packed my bag with everything I needed. Clothes, books, food. Everything me and neji needed were in there. My parents were sleeping so now was the best time to make a break for it.
I tiptoed downstairs, making sure to avoid any creaky stairs. I reached the bottom of the stairs and tiptoed into the kitchen where dad kept all the money.
We're going to need money if we're moving to a new village so we have no choice but to steal from our folks. Me and neji agreed to each take half since it would be unfair to steal all our families hard earnings.
I typed in the code and opened the safe. I took what I needed and wrote a letter to my parents, apologising for taking their money and promising to pay them back someday.
With that over and done with I left the house. Neji was waiting outside for me.
"shikamaru" he wrapped his arms around me "you know I was pretty scared before but now I'm really excited to start a new life with you"
"yeah me too darling" I kissed him softly "now let's get out of here before we're caught"
He nodded as he took my hand. The two of us walked off together, edger to start our new lives together...
