Shikamarus pov
I hummed a soft melody as I rocked my daughter sasiko to sleep. She was only a couple of days old but she already had soft brown hair and baby blue eyes. She was the most beautiful thing I'd ever lay my eyes on.
My husband neji came out and lay his head tiredly on my shoulder.
"darling you should be resting" I said gently kissing his head.
"mmm I don't want to leave you to take care of our child alone" he mumbled.
"it's fine darling. Look she's being so good right now" I gently reassured the tired boy "everything's fine darling"
She nodded, snuggled against my shoulder and fell asleep in a matter of seconds. I chuckled and held him close, kissing his forehead.
Me and neji had been on the run for years now. We've had a lot of ups and downs but we got through them together and now we're married and have a beautiful child. I can't imagine a better outcome.
