Shikamarus pov
Me and neji have been getting closer lately. I'm no longer seeing him as a bossy know-it-all. Now I see him as.. something else. Its not like I like him or anything! We're just friends and that's how it's going to stay-
"shikamaru!" I jumped at the sound of my name being called. I spun around to see the troublesome woman themselves ino and tenten.
"what are you guys doing here?" I sighed.
"other then watching your train wreak of a love life? Nothing much" ino smirked.
"gah!" I covered my red face in embarrassment "I'm not in love with him!"
"oh please shikamaru its obvious" tenten rolled her eyes. She walked up to me and poked me in the chest "listen shikamaru. Nejis not good with love so if you want him to catch on your going to have to put in some extra work. If you want to be happy with him you gotta grow a pair tell him how you feel"
"yeah you tell him girl!" ino cheered.
"well what do you expect me to do? Just walk up to him and ask him out on a date-"
"are you asking me on a date?" I jumped in surprise and turned around to see neji standing behind me.
"umm well-"
"I accept" he smiled sweetly "I'll see you tomorrow" with that he walked away, leaving me in a stunned state.
The girls squealed in excitement. I sighed. Looks like I have a date!
