" It is far better to be alone, than to be in bad company."
- George Washington

Sasaki POV

"Any news on where she might be prowling?" I asked, looking over at Urie, who had been doing some digging through the human traffic with ghouls.

Urie shrugged, not listening much from music blasting in his ears. Mutsuki raised her hand as if in class, and I nodded at her to fill me in what she found.

"Me and Shirazu found out where she last hid, in an old apartment down in ward 17." She explained, looking over at Shirazu who gave her a quick nod.

"The whole room was covered in blood, and some corpses were barely recognizable." Shirazu said with a frown.

I looked down at the map on the table and sipped my coffee. If she was last in the 17th ward, she would either be in 16 or 18 now. She doesn't have any means of travel other than the subways or buses, and there aren't many near where her apartment was.

If she wanted to get closer to Aogiri, she'd head more outwards, to the 18th ward. That would be her most safe bet if she wanted protection from them, but what if...

I squint while thinking, Saiko waving a hand in front of my eyes, making me flinch. "Hey! Do I have to come?" She whined.

"Yes, we need everyone right now." I said with a commanding voice, making her whine even more, but I ignore her.

"This'll be how we do this. Me, Shirazu, and Saiko are headed to the 16th ward. Urie and Mutsuki, head to the 18th. Got that?" I said the last part while looking over at Urie, who nodded grimly and stood, already to head out as Mutsuki hurried to get her shoes on.

Urie recently had that surgery, I wonder if he'll be able to do this by himself? But just in case, I'm gonna send Mutsuki with him, any mistakes and she'll be even further away, and harder to find.

But I believe this will be a nice test for them to see they can successfully work together. If not, then this team is doomed for good. But I'm mostly worried about Urie, will he make a mistake on this mission? He always seemed to do the lone wolf style, which isn't smart if you ask me.

I purse my lips while the others go and get ready, Shirazu stops in front of his room door and peers over at me. "Are you sure about this decision?" He asked.

I stay quiet, and he shrugs, opening his door, but as he's walking in-

"No, I'm not sure." I answer, making Shirazu freeze for a moment, then head into his room.

Vincent POV

I display a bunch of weapons on the table in front of everyone. Levin's eyes light up like a Christmas tree while inspecting the guns and CRC gas containers.

"Be careful, that's like poison to us, y'know." I said with a frown, crossing my arms.

Levin's just chuckles and checks the bullets in the magazine's on the table. CRC doesn't effect him because of his cells, so even if CCG agents threw CRC gas at him or shot RC bullets at him, they wouldn't do anything.

The only things that could hurt him so far was quinque, but the only quinque that do damage are the ones being wielded by skilled doves. Arima and Juuzo, those two could fight him...

We can't let this get out of hand and get the CCG involved, we need to do this quick and clean, like a kidnapping. Torso won't know what's hit him.

"Let me see." Kurona said with a blank face, looking at the guns on the table. Rize stood a good few steps away from it, probably cautious around the equipment. I'm cautious too, this stuff is made to suppress and kill ghouls, I'd be one emotionless bastard if these didn't send chills down my spine.

But I suppose that doesn't apply to the twins, they're looking at them all fine it makes me seem like a pansy.

"When are we doing this?" Levin's asked, his face serious.

I put my hands on my hips and sigh. "Tomorrow, so get plenty of rest, you four." I said while looking at all of them.

Jeez, I feel like I have to babysit all of them. But, it isn't a bad feeling.

"What happens if Aogiri members are with him?" Rize asked, obviously worried about her own hide.

"Then you'll leave them to Levin and me, while the twins and you get Torso." I said, Levin nodding at the plan and placing the gun he was inspecting back on the table.

"I don't see why we'll need these though, I could just use my kagune for less noise." Levin said with a frown.

I flinched as he said this. "T-That's a bad idea for you.." I said while scratching my head.

"Why?" He asked in confusion.

"J-Just shut it, off to bed, all of you get rest!" I ordered, all four of them sighing and moping up the stairs to their rooms.

The reason I don't want Lev to use his Kagune is because... it seems every time he uses it, he goes nuts. At least, when he uses his Kakuja. I had heard that half ghouls, once turning into a Kakuja, become a half Kakuja. This Kakuja isn't complete with the human cells, so it messes with your mind, and causes you to go insane.

This explains the centipede three years back, or Kaneki. But in Levin's case, he is supposedly perfect in gene wise, so why does he go nuts? Why is his mind so messed up? Whenever I ask him about it, he steers the conversation into another direction.

Oh well... one day he'll open up, and I'll help him. That's what friends are for anyway.
