Ayato POV

"I'm very sorry for the inconsistencies I've caused." Levin said in front of all of us, bowing his head low.

This morning, after coming out of his room, he immediately told everyone in Re to gather. Just to do this?

Kaneki blinked in surprise, scratching his head. "Um... okay? Apology accepted?" He said, confused.

Levin kept his head down. "You aren't angry?" He sounded worried.

"At what?"

"I..." it sounded like Levin wanted to say more, but his tongue catched and he ended up trailing off. But with this type of attitude... it seems that he's back to normal. Or whatever Levin's "normal" tone is.

He finally lifted his head, and I notice that his eyes still have this red tint to them. Was he crying? Touka pushed past most of us and shoved a mop into Levin's hands.

"If you want to make up for it, then start getting to work. We're opening soon." She said, turning back and heading to the front to turn the sign to "open".

Levin stands there for a moment, then stares down at the mop in his hands. As everyone dispersed, I walked up to him. "So that's it? Done with the Aogiri raids?" I asked.

Levin noticed me and grinned. "Not really. I mean, we put things in motion. Eto won't be able to ignore what we've done, so now we wait for her move." He said.

So we're on the defensive now huh? I take my hands out of my pockets and slap him on the back. "Good to have you back, though I did like you better when you were a savage to your enemies." I said. Is he even back to the original sense of mind I met him at? That naive mind set will get him killed.

Levin smirked. "Oh don't worry about that. Anyone that is a threat to my home will have no mercy from me." He said.

At this my grin grows. "I think I like this you even more than the rest." I said, before we first bumped and walked to the cafe, starting to mop.

Getting an idea on how Levin works... he's back to being the friendly, smiling, naive person he was before, but he still has the tendencies to flip a switch in the time of need. At least that's what I hope he's like, if that's the case, then he'll be ready for Eto.

And after... what happens after Aogiri Tree? That organization named "V"? Do we stand a chance against them? Does Levin think he can see this to the end? So much uncertainty.

But I suppose I can join the band wagon and be a little naive myself.

After the first shift, I head to my break. But as I'm heading through the halls, I stop at seeing Kaneki looking over at my sister, who is cleaning some cups. He starts to walk over to her, but I quickly step in.

I step next to my sister with a smile, pretending I don't see Kaneki. "Sis, you need help?" I asked.

She smiled at this and nodded. "Thanks, my hands were getting sore. You'd think I'd get used to this." She said.

We make small talk as Kaneki slowly sinks away, retreating after me appearing. It did help that I gave him a quick glare before he departed.

He's not getting even a little more closer to my sister. He's trouble, and I don't him near her. Plus, he should think on who her brother is, the guy he...

Snap, crunch

Half of my fucking bones. That psycho broke half of my God Damn bones, while naming them off. It was the most horrifying biology lesson I ever went through.
