Levin POV

I sat in my room staring down at the small handbook, stuffed with notes and small files in it. Vincent had handed me this and said that some of my answers would be in here.

But i don't know know what I'll find when I open this. I should start with the beginning. I slowly open the book and first find some diary entries, starting about a month before he got me out of Cochlea.

I read and read, everything was out of his point of view on what had happened. He looked at me like I was his family, and back then I thought he was just really friendly, but now I know it's because he wanted a family.

My chest twisted in painful ways thinking about it, so I sighed and kept reading. Until I got to a part labelled "CCG and V".

This peaked my interests. I began to read.

Seems that Levin had contact with Eto, this is bad. Every step he takes brings him closer to them. V. If he gets too close, he'll definitely get burned.
Eto on the other hand, is trouble. Able to not set off CCGs RC gates is a dangerous perk. But hey, I can do that too, but it's still a problem.

Wait... RC gate? Aren't those this scanners that scan for high RC levels? Eto can't set them off? Because she's a half ghoul? No... Vincent said he couldn't set them off either, so it has to be another section explaining this.

I flip through some more until I get to a file named "RC gates". I begin to read.

These scanning machines can sense RC cells of high levels. Basically it can tell if your a ghoul or not. This applies to all ghouls, half or not. Except with the small exception of V members not being able to set them off.
The DNA or RC cells of a V member is set so that it won't set off the scanner, meaning they can walk freely around without having to worry about them going off.
The people I know of having this is me, since I have my mother's genes. Eto, since she's the old man's daughter, who used to be in V. And Rize Kamishiro.
But since my father used to be in V, his offspring, or Levin, would he set off the gate? He has H cells, so it's still unknown. I will continue to look through this.

I froze in place as I read this. V members can walk through the CCG without being noticed? Eto can do this too since she's the offspring of Yoshimura. But could that be true, could I be immune to the gate too?

But another fact that shocked me.

"Rize Kamishiro."

I stare down at the name, squinting at it as if I might be reading some of the letters wrong. But it was still there, her name in perfect writing.

Rize is... a V member?

"Ah, so you found me out." Said a voice behind me, I jumped and quickly turned, seeing Rize leaning on the chair I was sitting on. But she didn't look as if she wanted to fight.

"Your part of V?" I asked slowly, looking down at the handbook I had dropped.

She frowned. "Used to be." She mumbled.

Used to be? She left V? Isn't that a death sentence?

"I escaped them a long time ago." She said with a rather sad voice. She looked down at her feet.

I slowly became relaxed and picked up the book. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"I was scared you'd try to kill me on the spot." She said, sitting down on my bed. He hair looked wet still from the shower she probably had taken, and wore a t shirt and a skirt.

I sit down again, slowly. "I guess that is true... why'd you leave?" I asked, folding my fingers together.

She pursed her lips as if remembering something painful. I have no idea how V might've treated her, from the sound of things, she escaped before she got in that accident with Kaneki...

Wait a moment.

"Hey... RC cells are the same if passed down through another generation right?" I asked.

"Yes. That's why Eto can walk through the scanners without being noticed." Rize said with a blank expression.

"Then... would it be possible for an artificial ghoul that has RC cells that of a V member to walk through them too?" I asked, staring at her.

Her eyes went wide. "You don't mean... ah, well that makes more sense." She trailed off.

Ken Kaneki has the organs and RC cells of Rize, who used to be part of V. Meaning that's why he didn't set off the gates back at the CCG when he was Sasaki Haise.

All the pieces came together. I would have to test me being immune to these scanners too another time. I stood and gave Rize a small nod.

"Your coming too, I assume?" I asked.

Rize sat there for a moment, then smiled. "I haven't had fun in awhile, better show me a good time, Levin." She said with a teasing voice.

??? POV

It seems things are stirring once more. My son... has died. I thought u wouldn't be effected by his death, but I suppose being his mother just cannot ignore the pain I'm feeling.

And that thing that is his offspring burned him in a warehouse such as that. That little brat is getting on my nerves. But I need to calm down, it's still coming together.

Whoever gave Tsukiyama's family the slip, I do not know this, which is confusing. We are V, we usually know these types of things.

Behind me the door opens and in comes in some men, all smirking. "Were ready ma'am." One said.

A smile goes across my face. "Good. Time to see what that certain something Kanou cooked up for us is ready to have its first blood."
