Third Person POV

Levin spiraled at them, and instantly caught them off guard. He grabbed onto Mutsuki' leg and threw her, causing her to smack into the wall.

Akira grit her teeth, cursing and slashing her whip at him, but he grabbed the whip with his claw, the quinque unable to cut through the tough h cell created Kakuja.

"M-must, eat!" Levin said, his voice demonic, sending chills down everyone's backs.

Shirazu charged forward, slashing Levin's Kakuja, but it bounced off of it harmlessly. Levin turned his head with a crack, then was in front of Shirazu in a flash, grabbing him by the throat.

"Gah! Bastard!" Shirazu mumbled through the choke. Levin tilted his head in confusion.

"Bastard? I'm a bastard? Bastard bastard bastard-" He kept going none stop, Akira and Mutsuki stared in horror at Levin, not believing that their quinque couldn't do anything to his Kakuja armor around his torso.

Shirazu grit his teeth and kicked Levin in the neck, causing him to take a step back and dropping Shirazu. He quickly backed off and retreated back behind Akira.

Levin still stood there, then slowly looked up in confusion. "Hurts? It always hurts. Pain. So much pain. Mom? Why did you leave mom? Where is dad?" He said, clenching his head and spouting more nonsense.

Akira stared at the Crow, not knowing whether to feel afraid, or pity for him. By the dialogue he was saying, she wasn't going to doubt of the past he had.

But it was her job, to capture him. How was she going to do that when their quinque wouldn't do anything? Just as she's thinking this, her com comes back on and someone talks.

"Aogiri is starting to back off." Said the man on the radio, not the man she talked to before about capturing Crow.

Backing off? Did they get what they were coming for or something? They still didn't know what they even came here for to begin with.

As she was thinking, Shirazu let out a cry of pain, and she focused back on what was happening. Crow was slashing at him, relentlessly.

Akira grit her teeth and called to it. "Hey! I got your mother over here!" She called.

Levin froze suddenly, then turned slowly to her. She expected him to attack her, but instead he slowly walked up to her, reluctantly. Then when he was about a few yards away, said something that made no sense.

"Mother had a bad end." He said.

I stare at him in confusion, but he suddenly threw his claw at me, I cover my face and wait for pain...

But it didn't come?

I slowly open my eyes again to see a large silhouette standing over me in a black cloak. I couldn't see he face, but it was definitely a man holding a giant weapon.

A quinque?

The man had blocked the blow coming at me. Crow tilted his head, confused. "Floppy man?" He mumbled.

The cloaked man suddenly pushed back Crow, making him skid across the lab floor. There was a long silence.

The man turned for me to see a mask, a plain gas mask. "Get out of here." He said, his voice sounded filtered, like an auto tune.

I was about to say something, but Mutsuki and Shirazu grabbed me, pulling me back away from the mysterious man. But something felt oddly familiar about him.

He turned back to Crow and stared him down. They seemed to have some sort of silent conversation between them, and Crow spouts nonsense again.

"F-Floppy! Floppy floppy floppy floppy-"

The cloaked man sighed through his filtered voice. "I don't understand why you would join them. But all I will do is fix you this one time." He said to Crow.

But Crow couldn't hear him it seemed, because he screamed, suddenly running at the man.

Kaneki POV

The Nest was quiet as usual, so I soon left for re, seeing that I didn't want to be near the atmosphere there. Everyone being gloomy really was a buzzkill.

I now sit in the guest room of re, comfortably seated on the desk chair and staring down at a computer. Doing research in a time like this didn't seem like me, I should be looking for Levin.

But seeing that I was in the CCG before, I had copied almost their whole interface data on a couple of flash drives before leaving for good. Right now, I'm scanning through them to find the files on Levin.

There was a big password hack I had to pull off to get access, so it was a big pain in the ass. But if Levin was with CCG for almost half his life in a cell, there had to be records of what they were doing with him.

I scan through the file names and stop once I catch something familiar.

"Eye Patch - Haise Sasaki"

I stare at the file, then slowly put my mouse over the file and click it. The file opens to plenty of photos of me when I was younger, and even the stats on my Kagune and RC cells.

I read the following passage in the debriefing notes.

Haise Sasaki is to be exercised with extreme caution. If something we're to spark his memories again, then every member of the CCG has the right to take him down, no questions asked.
In his past, he was known as Kaneki Ken, but no matter what, do not say this name, as it might trigger something.
Designated as "Eye Patch" or "Centipede", he is rated SS, and is to be watched with caution from Akira Mado and Arima Kishou. He will be placed in the Quinx squad as their instructor, as training to be one day a better investigator than Arima.
>Update
Haise has seemed to disappeared along with his subordinate Kuki Urie. If any agent is to see these two, report to the higher ups immediately. It is under investigation, but we believe that Haise has triggered his past memories, making him a dangerous enemy to us as the CCG. As for Urie, capture and hold is necessary, for Haise, kill on sight if forced to do so.

I shut down the file and started to scroll again, my mind was racing a bit. Urie is gone? I just saw him about a week ago, where the heck did he go?

My mind brushes off the subject when I see Levin' name come up in the files, and I quickly click on it. I'll find out what happened to Urie soon.

I find a profile picture of when he was younger, and around the time he escaped from there. There's a bunch of data and links, so much I almost get a headache from seeing it all.

I scan the profile and go to the notes.

Levin Seto is to be labelled as the "Hybrid". He shows quite the resilience even for a young child. For someone who saw their parents killed in front of them, he seems to be ignoring the fact of their deaths, this could mean psychological damage to his memories, therefore we are putting him into the hands of Goumasa Tokage (currently off probation).

>Update 1
Being that the subject has turned fifteen a few days ago, we begin to investigate the subject once more and see his progress. Sadly when investigating him once more, he was but in a vegetable state, his mind was crushed and he didn't speak.
We asked Doctor Tokage about this, but he merely avoided the subject, which we are looking into at this moment. We assigned an assistant handler by the name of Shiki Kijima.

>Update 2
Sadly we found out about the things that had happened to Levin while in lock up and under to watch of Kijima and Tokage. Tokage had been-

I read the rest and flinch, my understanding of Levin' Kakuja and his mind shattering so easily makes so much sense now. I quickly stand and grab my things.

I once thought of my mind broken, but Levin is probably worse.

(If you don't know who Goumasa Tokage and Shiki Kijima are, then I think you should check out their profiles on the wiki. Nonetheless I hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful day!) - MnMs171
