" Be true to your work, your word, and your friend."

Levin POV

I watched Kurona take another bite of the cake, her smile after the first bite sent my into bliss. She wiggled around while smiling with joy from the taste.

"Is it good?" I asked, I wanted to hear her say it even though I already knew the answer.

Kurona nodded. "Yup, it's delicious." She said, quickly scarfing down more of the cake.

After hearing her words and cross my arms and smile, letting them linger in my mind. I think all I wanted right now was to hear be happy and praise my cooking. As I'm thinking this Kurona looks over at the clock and puts her fork down.

"Nashiro promised to watch TV with me. See you after your shift." She said as she stood and walked up the stairs to her and her sisters room.

Stretching my arms out wide I yawned and walked into the changing room. I quickly got changed into my uniform for Re and walked out in front, behind the counter. At one of the tables sat Rize, who looked up from her book with a grin.

"Your Home Ec done with Kuro?" She said teasingly.

I ignored her and began to wash the dishes. I looked about the cafe, which was empty at the moment. Rize spoke up again as she watched me.

"Wondering where Kaneki and the others are?" Rize asked, then looked back at her book and began reading again as she continued. "Kaneki, Touka, Ayato, and Hinami went to the Aquarium. Something about extra tickets."

I flinch as I hear the pairings. I look outside and give Kaneki a small blessing. Ayato would probably be watching his every move around Touka. Though I doubt any of them think of it as a date. That or their too hesitant to say so.

I sigh in disappointment and run a hand through my hair. Other than the twins and Rize, the only ones here were Yomo, who was still resting, and some of the Nest occupants down in the basement area.

It was quiet without Touka's rambling and ordering me and Ayato around. Nishiki hasn't visited in awhile. I think he's staying low for awhile.

"Not much customers coming in today. Shouldn't we just shut it down for today?" Rize said whilst looking at her book. I put away one of the cups I had cleaned.

"I guess. Touka wouldn't mind, I don't think." I mumbled. It was rare for the place to be so empty, not just the others, but customers are usually in here. At least two or three guests.

I guess it's just one of those days. Looking around once more, I then walk out front and flip the sign to closed. Walking back in I see that Rize is getting her stuff off of the table she was sitting at and heading upstairs.

Quickly I call out to her. "Hey, Rize." I called.

She stopped a half a step away from the stairs and looked back at me with a raised eyebrow. "What's up?"

"Can you... help me with something?" I asked slowly, I felt nervous asking this. What I was thinking of doing was a scary thought, but I had to do it.

Rize tilted her head. "Judging by your face, it has to be something serious." She said, crossing her arms. "Sure, why not? Let's go to your room then."

She walked up the stairs with a steady pace. A part of me felt pained for asking Rize for help with things. I know full well her feelings. And she knows that I know. Yet she still treats me like a friend. I can't tell if she feels that way anymore. But one thing is for sure, when Rize comforts someone, she's one of the best at it.
