A full month.

A month and a week I've been here. It was the day to choose. To either leave here and go with Yomo, or to stay with Vin and Kurona.

Yomo stands in the doorway, facing me with his usual getup in a trench coat. He still had the same look on his face, blank yet somewhere in his face, he pleads as if to make me come with him.

Behind me is Vin, Kurona looks from the infirmary, her face still blank. These two were my friends, and Yomo was a stranger. Even Rize, who was a very weird resident here at the Nest, I think I'd miss if I left.

"So, I looked into what you'd be doing if you came with me." Yomo said, still blank faced.

"Your to train under me in combat, and to work at a cafe named Re. Once my... friend says your ready, then we'll let you roam free." He said.

"You make it sound as if I'm weak-" I start.

"You are weak. Sorry but it's true." Said Yomo.

I'm about to counter with an agreement, but Yomo put an hand out, as if to say he already knew about me almost sparing a dove. Everyone knew that the hybrid was about to spare a dove, that's what's been going around, that or that the hybrid actually killed the dove, two versions of a rumor.

"So, your choice?" Asked Yomo.

I stared at him, then looked back at Vin, and past him, Kurona. She started at me no answer of help from her face showed, she wants me to choose. Vin also did not say anything, except one thing.

"If you want to become stronger faster, now's your chance... but I'll warn you, if you go with him.. your death rate will be higher." He said, warding off a glare from Yomo.

I have a bigger chance of dying if I go with him, but I'll get stronger. Confusion clouded my judgement as two sides of my brain battled for control.

I see a glimpse of the empty space that I saw before, when I battled than dove. The human side and ghoul side of me both smiling at me, the ghoul side has a crazy smile, and the human side has a warm smile. Which do I choose?

The human side, the more safer one, staying at the Nest. Or the ghoul side, going with Yomo and training, possibly getting killed along the way from more dangerous jobs than just minor errands.

I suddenly smile when the answer pops into my mind. I look at Yomo and shake his hand. "Deal. I'm going with you." I said.

He wore a small smile and nodded. But I let go of his hand and looked back at my friends. "And... I get to visit whenever I want of course... I get to choose the boundaries of these things I'll be doing." I commanded.

Vin smiled as I made another one of my bargains. Yomo seemed surprised by my rebellious act. I just grinned up at the tall man, he sighed and nodded. I walked back to Kurona and smiled.

"I'll see you in about a week, okay?" I said.

She nodded, looking back at her comatose sister. I lean next to her and smile, pulling her covers a bit more over her. "When I come back, let's go out and go someplace, I want to show you something." I said.

Kurona nodded as I stood again and walked to the door, Vin shook my hand. "Been a pleasure, see you soon, Lev." He said.

I grin. "It's not like I'm writing my grave stone. Your Crow will be back in no time."
