"Now then, I best get to explaining. Where should I start?" I ask myself as they all look at me. "I suppose I should start with how I know everything that is going on and it should explain why Bill is not really a problem. So before I was Elise I was Shawn."

"What?!" Ford says.

"What does that mean?"

"I have lived before now and I was the youngest brother in the Pines family. So I suppose I am my own great uncle."

"How does that work?"

"Well I died and then came back to life as Elise. Anyway, I remember being Shawn and while I was Shawn I worked with Ford on the portal and made a deal with Bill. The deal included the fact he was not allowed to take deals while he had a deal active with me. Since I died but did not stay dead he only had a small amount of time where he was not under the deal."

"But we fought with him in Stan's mind!"

"I let him pretend to make that deal with Gideon. Do you not you think it is a little strange that a dream demon, in his natural habitat of the mind, somehow tripped and lost the memory needed?"

"I didn't think about that."

"Bill is much better behaved now than he used to be and has body privileges according to his behavior."

"Body privileges?"

"You let him take over your body!"

"Of course not. He has his own." I say before calling Bill to me using our connection. When he flies in and lands on my arm he turns to Ford.

"Good old sixer. Glad to see your back."

"Your bird is a dream demon?!" My siblings ask at the same time.

"Yes, he is. Now then any other questions?" I cycle through my family's questions until no one asked anything else and then we head upstairs and go to sleep.

It takes a few weeks for everyone to get used to the information that I shared with them and the fact that Ford is living he now but eventually we got back it a routine. We go on family outings, deal with the weird things in this town and Stan runs for mayor but of course he is not elected. Soon enough the summer is coming to an end and we are setting up for my siblings birthday party. 

Mabel goes to the high school to reserve the gym for their party and Dipper goes with Ford to get some glue to keep the rift created by the portal inside of the safety device. I know that the world does not end yet so I stay at the shack to come up with an idea to convince my parents to let me take the GED because elementary school is horribly boring. I am writing out ideas in a notebook when Mabel bursts into my room. "Is high school really horrible?"

"I always thought that it was better than middle school. Though if given the option I would skip both."

"So I shouldn't be worried about it?"

"Probably not. I think you should do well in high school."

"Thank you. That is one worry of my mind."

"Any others I can help with?"

"Well, My friends said that they won't be able to go to my birthday party or say goodbye when we leave for the summer."

"Well, Perhaps I can get them back in time for your party."

"How would you do that?

"Well I have gained a few skills throughout my lives. I would need them to blindfold themselves though because I wish to keep my secrets."

"Okay! I'll go let them know." She says before rushing out of my room at about the same speed that she came in with.

I finish up my planning and head to the kitchen for a snack where I find Dipper and Mabel arguing. "What is going on?"

"Dipper is going to stay here with Ford."

"Who agreed to this? Ford should not be trusted with the wellbeing of a child when he cannot fully care for himself."

"I'm not a child! I turn thirteen before the summer ends."

"You are a child, even Stan and Ford are children to me but that is not the point that I am trying to make. You are not yet old enough to care for yourself and Ford will not care for you like that. Stan will be around but he is not the best influence either and it is one thing to be under his care for the summer and another to be for the whole year. Also Mabel needs you and you need her I can tell. Just wait until you are done with school, this chance will still be waiting for you."

He pouts for a bit before talking. "I guess you make sense."

"Now then we have a party to plan and stuff to pack so we best get on that." They both agree and get to work.

Over the week we get everything ready, Dipper rejects Ford's opportunity for now and I chewed Ford out for not properly thinking through his ideas. We through the party and I retrieved Mabel's friends and then returned them after the party. We finished packing and Stan and Ford shared with me that they are going to finish the boat we were fixing when we were children. They told me that I should finish school as soon as possible so we can travel the world together like we planned.

When we got back home I was able to convince my parents to let me take the GED and as expected I passed it and got into college. I also convinced them to let me travel the world with Stan and Ford as long as I kept in contact with them and kept up with my college classes when we are in a place with internet. So once they finished the boat they picked me up and we started our travels.
