Bokuto Koutarou ~ Panic Attack

My owl baby was requested by @no-creative-talent, sorry it's taken so long but I hope you enjoy!

It was quite safe to say that Bokuto was not one to be able to deal with serious things, such as anxiety or depression, or even handing in his essays on time. But for Y/N, he was prepared to take the risk.

Y/N had suffered from really bad anxiety from a young age, always worrying about what people thought of her and if she was doing something wrong when she wasn't, which sort of drove her into multitudinous panic attacks nearly every week.

At first, Bokuto had no idea what to do about it, and would often end up panicking beside Y/N, that was until Akaashi came along like the perfect man he is and managed to calm Y/N down. That really ticked Bokuto off because he should be the one rubbing Y/N's back in circles and whispering things into her ear, not the gorgeous setter Akaashi.

So, after her first panick attack, Bokuto made it his first priority to learn everything about panic attacks and anxiety ranging from what caused them to how to deal with him, and you have to admit, he really was trying so damn hard to make sure he was always there for Y/N when she had a panic attack or just needed him.

And, even though he was still patchy in some places, you've gotta hand it to the poor boy for trying, but he was getting better.

"Y/N!" Bokuto called out into the emptiness of the apartment he shared with the said girl.

When he received no reply, Bokuto dropped his school bag and volleyball kit on the floor in a blind panic and started scouting the apartment for his girlfriend.

Y/N would always greet Bokuto when he came home from volleyball practice, so the fact that she wasn't there led Bokuto to think the worst has happened to her, but he actually felt a little relieved when he saw her curled up in a ball in the corner of their shared bedroom - her body trembling.

As horrible as it sounded, he was just glad that she wasn't dead. But that didn't stop him from worrying.

"Y/N, hey," he said softly, walking over to her hurriedly and kneeling down in front of his girlfriend, stroking her hair softly. "Hey, look at me."

Slowly and shakily, Y/N brought her head out of her knees to look Bokuto in the eye and the mentioned boy nearly started crying when he saw the state of her.

Pale-faced, teary-eyed, and shaking to no ends. She really was a mess at that point.

"Baby, what happened?" He asked softly, his hands still entangled in Y/N's hair and his lips pressing kissed to her forehead and temples.

"I-I'm s-sorry, Koutarou, it- it happened again a-and I couldn't stop it, I'm sorry," she sobbed, and Bokuto didn't even have to think twice before pulling the shaking girl in for a long hug, one that spoke more words than any speech any given.

Also, I realised that like, halfway through writing this chapter, that the majority of you don't even know what I look like and for those of you (un)fortunate to have me on instagram and snapchat, you get to put up with some more photos of me yaaaay.
