Y/N quietly ushered herself into the comforts of her bed, wiping her tear-stained cheeks against her pillows.
It was late at night when she got the dreadful news and she didn't want to do anything but disappear.
Suddenly the door opened and her boyfriend stumbled into the room. Y/N didn't bother to greet him, instead deciding to pretend to sleep.
She laid still as he roughly sat on the other side of their bed – he's probably drunk...
She heard him shuffling and her eyes went wide open as he slipped his arm around her waist.
"...you can't fool me Y/N." He said, his words slow.
Yeah, he is so drunk.
"Yoongi please I just want to sleep now." She whined, making sure her voice was clear.
"What happened baby?" He asked, gently turning Y/N over so she faced him.
His eyes were hooded but they immediately widened when he saw her wet cheeks. He rubbed any last traces of her tears away with his thumbs and looked at her with a soft gaze.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He said, his words slightly slurred but Y/N could tell that he was sober enough so she sat up.
"...Grandma." She said, frowning. "She passed..." Her voice faltered and the tears flowed once again.
Y/N let Yoongi hug her as she cried a river. Her sobs echoed in the otherwise silent room...
"It'll be fine, she loved you – she's probably looking over you right now." He said.
"But- but I wasn't able to visit her as often as she wanted. O-or call her!" She replied, burying her head in Yoongi's chest.
He gently pushed her back and cupped her cheeks in his hands, "But you loved her and you made sure to show her, even if it wasn't often. She knew you loved her." He reassured her.
He rubbed her back as she took deep breathes to calm herself.
"Yoongi, thank you..." She whispered, feeling gratitude for her lover.
"Anything for you jagiya." He replied, glad he didn't drink too much this night.
He laid her down on the bed again and kissed her forehead, "Try to sleep now, okay?"
Y/N nodded and reluctantly tried to sleep, hoping that she wouldn't wake up with tears.
Yoongi got changed and slept next to her, stroking her hair and praying that she would have sweet dreams...
