Peer Marking - Park Jimin

"I would like to know you though..."

Jimin POV:

"Alright everyone, I'd like you to peer assess your partner's work thoroughly." Is what my teacher said at the start of my English Literature lesson.

Unfortunately, my partner wasn't in so I had no one to mark my work or someone's work to mark.
At least, that's what I thought.

"Y/N, since your partner isn't here. Why don't you sit next to Jimin for today? His partner isn't here either."

Oh.
Oh great.
Oh this is just excellent isn't it?

Y/N is my crush... And she's going to be my partner... Please don't be awkward.

She got her stuff and walked quietly to my table and sat next to me. Her face the complete image of nervousness. Is she scared of me?

"Okay, so this is the work I did last lesson." I handed her my exercise book, relieved when her hands weren't shaking as she took my book.

She cleared her throat. "Here's mine." She said, her voice fairly clear.

"You have nice handwriting by the way." I stated immediately. Her work was nearly displayed and very detailed. She was a top student after all.

"Thanks..." We both got on with our set work. Although I was focussed on marking, the noise around me was keeping me aware of the very quiet girl next to me.

How do I start a conversation with her?

I shook my head and kept reading her work. Ticking correct things, adding notes of improvement to help her.

"Dank Guy!" She exclaimed suddenly, making me look at her in shock.
She seemed not to notice me, instead her eyes were glued to the hallway.

(A/N: Dank Guy is a nickname that one of my best friends irl gave to a guy she randomly saw around our school XD DON'T JUDGE XDXDXD Also, that best friend is Jimin biased~)

My gaze landed on a tall student with blonde, slick hair and who was not wearing the school uniform. He was probably a senior student then... (A/N: I'm British and in my school, there's a uniform but Sixth Formers - those doing their A-Levels - can wear their own smart clothes).

I turned my head back to Y/N, she was smiling in awe and excitement.

"Umm, do you have a crush on him?" I asked, making her snap back into reality with wide eyes.

"What? No. He's just cool to me." She said happily. This is kinda... Unusual?
"Besides, he probably has a girlfriend. He is dank yanno?" She giggled, this behaviour was definitely different from earlier.

"So, do you like him or?" She shook her head.

"I don't even know him." She laughed. "Sorry, I'm weird like this."

"Oh it's fine, it's kinda cute actually." I said, smirking when she smiled shyly.

"Although there is one guy I like..." She said.

"Oh? And who is that?"

She shook her head again, "I can't say..."

I nodded, "That's alright... You don't even know me well anyways..."

"I would like to know you though..."
She said under her breath, thinking that I didn't hear.

I smirked, "Why don't we hang out soon? I think you're a cool person."
Yes Jimin, just be causal and smooth.

"T-that's sudden." She chuckled a little. I probably scared her to be honest...
"but okay Jimin."

Wait.
What?
She looked at me and I just blinked......

......SHE ACTUALLY SAID OKAY!?!?

She grinned at me, noting the look of confusion plastered on my face, and I was able to smile back.

I think I've got this.
And all because of Peer Marking...
