"Darned bus."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Go ahead."
The young girl said with a smile on her face.

She is kind, caring, pretty, thoughtful and puts others before herself.
At least that's what Hoseok gathered from seeing her every day.

He would see her every morning at his bus stop.
He would go to work on the same bus she took every morning.

He managed to watch her many times.
That sounds creepy but it was just harmless observations from the sunny boy.

No matter how windy it was or how many people were waiting to get inside, she'd be the last.
Most times Hoseok wanted to let her in before himself but watching that happy face for him that she didn't mind.

One day, it was raining heavily.
A cold, evil storm.

Splatters against every surface, the bus came at its usual time despite the traffic.
And nice girl was wrapped in a coat and fluffy scarf, no hood to cover her hair from the remorseful rain.

Even still, she waited until the elderly, the ungrateful children and busy adults went in before her own shelter.
This time, Hoseok took action.

The look on her face wasn't the normal satisfaction, she just wanted to be warm.
Raindrops framed her pale face mockingly and he could sense that she was shaking.

He stood in front of the doors, looking straight at her and gestured for her to go in quickly.
She opened her mouth to decline but maybe it was the generous but rushed gaze Hoseok gave her that let her finally be selfish.

The bus was already packed, more people piled in than usual with altered schedules due to the cruel weather.
Hoseok and the girl were able to get to the middle of the bus, somewhat near the exit doors.

Slowly but surely, after everyone was on safely, the bus began moving.
The slippery roads gave any person chills, the wind howled even with the windows closed.

At the next stop, even more people pushed to get in, with the thoughts of being late urging them on.
Hoseok found himself swayed to the side, at least he was leaning on the wall.

He hates being cramped.
The feeling was suffocating.

He heard a small yelp and realised the nice girl was pushed closer to him.
He looked down at her, checking to see if she was alright.

Then it dawned on him, 'She's literally pressed up against me.'

The girl looked up with her messy, wet locks on her face.
Lips parted and breathing quietly ragged.

Hoseok let his backpack slide down between his legs to make more space.
It seemed the girl had the same idea and let her handbag fall between her legs too.

He gave her a nervous smile which she return with an awkward giggle.
"Sorry about this and thank you for before." She whispered.

He shook his head, "It's fine, don't worry about it."
The girl was able to give one of those genuine smiles again.

"My name's Hoseok."
He said, hoping to make the situation less uncomfortable.

"Y/N. Nice to meet you." She replied,
The bus suddenly jerked and Hoseok fell forward.

Y/N splayed her hands against his chest so he wouldn't fall onto her.
Around them, sounds of uneasiness and worry didn't reach their ears.

They just looked into each other's eyes, flustered but curious emotions swirling inside.
"I- uh." Y/N stuttered.

"It's fine..."
He said in a low voice, sliding his arms around her waist.

He pulled her cautiously close to him, keeping a short but formal distance between them.

His hands were at her back, cold raindrops stained his touch but he didn't mind.
He just looked up, not wanting to see the look of disapproval Y/N probably had.

But she didn't seem to move again from him, she rested her head on his chest.
Saying a quiet thank you, Hoseok felt her sigh against him.

He smiled, glad it wasn't awkward.
They hardly knew each other, only seeing the other at the bus stop.

Darned bus.

Whilst more people boarded, Hoseok kept his new acquaintance close.
Shielding her from barging passengers as she kept him warm.

A buzz from her coat pocket caught the pair's attention.
She looked at it and she groaned, "My boss told me now to not come in, ugh I'm almost here..."

Hoseok frowned at her despair and then got an idea.
"Wanna come with me? I work in a music studio, it's really warm."

Her face moved up, her eyes cutely looking at him intriguingly.
"Would... Would that be okay?"

"Yeah, my colleagues won't mind and it's really cozy."
Y/N thought about it before accepting sheepishly.

After a while of more rocking and pressurised air, they reached Hoseok's stop.
A few excuse mes were able to get them out of the packed bus successfully.

The heavy rain settled down into a drizzle.
The harsh gales turning into chilling breezes.

Hoseok guided her to his studio, the two engaging in small talk.
He could sense Y/N was nervous but he hoped she would like it there.

"So, do you produce your own music?"
She asked, in awe when he nodded in response.

"I produce and rap, I'm actually working on my own mixtape."

Y/N smiled gleefully, more excited.
"Can't wait to see how you work~"

Hoseok chuckled at her sweet tone that seemed to sooth his heart.
"I'll try not to disappoint you, just don't mind my friends. They're weird guys but really caring."

Y/N gave him a reassuring grin.
"If you're friends with them, I'm sure they'll be as kind and sweet as you."

They both shared a look a happiness.
They had only really talked to each other for a bit but they clicked instantly.

There was no reason they couldn't go further with their acquaintanceship.
After all, he was able to be her dose of sun on that rainy day.
