Hoseok strolled into the café with his signature grin on full display for any onlookers to see, as beams of sunshine shot out from his dancing eyes. He was happy, delighted, absolutely overjoyed.
His eyes scanned the cosy little café, searching for the one he's meant to be meeting here. Plants were in painted pots upon small shelves, tiny hanging lights turned off as it was still daytime, brown appeared to be the main colour aesthetic here.
He found the woman he was looking for sitting in the penultimate booth from the back, waltzing over and greeting her. "Hi jagiya, thank you for coming. Have you ordered anything?"
The female he so dearly addressed shook her head, giving the clearly excited Hoseok a smile before replying, "I wanted to wait for you before ordering, Hobi."
Hoseok looked down and chuckled, slightly shy at her statement, perhaps he was feeling a little nervous too. Nevertheless, he beckoned a server over and the two began to order some coffee.
"What was this sudden outing for love? You're lucky I was off work today," Y/N said. Hoseok nodded in acknowledgment, hands clasped together with his thumbs fidgeting a little.
"Well, I've got a surprise to show you but I honestly don't know if you'll like it." Y/N perked up at that, giving Hoseok a sweet smile.
"Why wouldn't I like a surprise? Tell me," she whined, before giggling. "I'm sure it's not bad," she continued.
Hoseok exhaled deeply, shoulders drooping as he tried to relax a little. He turned his head to the right, using his left hand to pull the top of his left earlobe down.
It revealed a small black doodle of a sun, with wavy 'arms' for the rays. Next to it, was a another small doodle, this time, the outline of a crescent moon.
He got tattoos.
Y/N's eyes widened, eyebrows raised and her jaw almost dropped. The tattoos were small and very easy to conceal yet... she wished people could see them more.
She found them so pretty on him.
Hoseok turned his head back to her dumbfounded face, worry evident in his usually cheerful eyes. The corners of Y/N's mouth turned upwards, her teeth being shown as she gave him a large grin.
"Those look so nice Hoseok! Good choices honestly, except I can't see them easily if they're hidden by your ear." Y/N pouted, before laughing at Hoseok's shocked facial expression.
He wasn't expecting this reaction from her at all but his heart swelled from the approval. "You— you really think they're okay?"
"Yes!" She exclaimed, "they're so pretty, very pleasing to the eye. Have you told anyone else?"
Hoseok shook his head in response, "not yet, I told my parents and sister about getting tattoos and they didn't mind, I just haven't shown them."
"Well," Y/N took Hoseok's hands in her own, squeezing them in attempt to reassure him, "I think they'll love them. I just can't believe you did this!"
Hoseok had to laugh, letting his head drop down as his shoulders jittered with amusement. "Yeah, me neither. I'm glad I did though."
