That night he was stark awake. He had no sleep in his eyes!! He felt so dead inside!!!
All of a sudden he sensed a footstep. As an esteemed warrior he has good hearing ability. He sharply turned his head to see the second commander Mrityunjay was standing at the tent gate.

Karna was not ready to read any letter but he knew it must be of Padma's. He knew that perfectly that just her letter could passify his anger now!! He took it and started to read it. In mind. A faintest smile had appeared on his handsome face. It contained a great news!!! He was going to be father!!!
Then suddenly something had clicked on his brain and he broke into a hearty roar of laughter!!!! He was laughing on his fate!!! He had got a curse today and a good news too!!! What an irony of fate indeed!!!! His own destiny never gave him a single chance of pleasure without pain!!!
Mrityunjay looked quite dubious. On the mental state of his Commander!! When he came back today morning he was so gloomy!! Now he was seen laughing aloud!!! What could a truly innocent letter contain to make him laugh in this way!!!

"Kyun Madhava, main hi kyun?!! Is parihas mere hi sath kyun hota hain!! (Why Lord Krishna why always it has to be me only?!!)" His tears were now unstoppable.

He screamed aloud again "Devi ab toh main apko woh sukh bhi nahin de paunga jiska ap yogya Ho!!! (Devi, now I can't give you the pleasure of your marital life anymore. As I am cursed again. To die!!!)"
