Chapter 40: Looks like the celebrations postponed

Akemi was spending time with Hizashi since he was the only one who had somehow gotten word of her current condition.

"Oh Akemi I Can't Wait To Be an Uncle!"

"Your not even blood related Hizashi how can you possibly be an uncle?"

"I'm As Good As Lady Listener! Shota Lived At My Parents Place Since High School! He Was Practically Family Long Before Then You Know!"

A ringtone filled the air. Hizashi reached into his pant pocket pulling out his phone. He shook his head, "It's not mine."

Akemi pushed herself off the couch heading to the bedroom. She reached for her phone. Her blood red eyes narrowed when she saw the name pop up. Why was it Vlad's phone?

Hitting the answer icon, she pressed the phone to her ear. A stern familiar voice spoke through the receiver. "We were attacked."

Akemi's blood ran cold as her pulse faltered and her hand instantly went to her stomach where a baby was growing. "Wha-How? You...You said that U.A..."

"We did. Somehow they got the information of our location. We have to cut the camp short. We will be arriving in the morning. Vlad and I are more likely going to be questioned by the police department."

The trembling woman questioned her husband with tears in her eyes, "Are you okay? Are the students okay?"

Shota didn't say anything. He didn't know what to say about the events that occurred not too long ago. He and Vlad were able to corral the students and calm them down. Akemi pried him to respond through her tears, "Shota... Please answer me."

Akemi moved to close the bedroom door. Her back touched the now closed door and her body slid down until she sat upon the floor. Her husband's voice came through the phone, "Akemi...I'm fine."

Akemi could feel her throat start to close. She tried clearing her throat. It was difficult. Akemi tried, "Sho...Sho Don't You Dare Lie To Me!" She closed her eyes and cried out. "You're Not Fine I can Hear It In Your Voice!"

A haggard heavy sigh came from his lips, "Everyone is pretty beaten up. They... They've taken a student. One of mine."

The grip on her cell phone tightened. Akemi didn't have anything to say. She couldn't find the words. Shota took the moment to continue, "I need Hizashi to pick me up from the police station tomorrow after I am sure there will be a lengthy meeting between U.A. staff."

Akemi opened and closed her mouth before she hung her head, "Okay... I'll... I'll tell him, Shota."

"I'm sorry about this darling I love you so much. I have to go now I've got a lot to come to terms with and that's not even counting how terrified everyone is going to be because of this. I'll see you soon and we'll make those villains pay for taking one of our students."

On the other side of the door, Hizashi had his hands shoved in his pockets with a frown. Akemi opened the door after the couple ended their call. Hizashi could see the grim look on his friend's face. Akemi stumbled back in surprise as her hair levitated slightly in her surprise showing the barbs, "Ah, Hizashi-?"

Hizashi interrupted, "That was Shota, wasn't it?"

Akemi looked away towards the cell phone that laid on the floor by the door. She nodded with tears in her eyes, "Yeah, it was him. He...He wanted me to tell you that after the U.A. staff meeting that will be happening to pick him up from the police station."

Hizashi's blond brows knitted together. He stated, "Another villain attack."

Akemi nodded, "Somehow they found out where the location of the training camp was. They... They took one of our students."
