Chapter 135: Eri your moving in...and dealing with Nightmares...oh dear

Akemi was bouncing on her toes as she texted Ectoplasm to get Eri's bedroom ready without the child noticing as she was spending the day with Shota.

Akemi was in the child's bedroom fighting the urge to paint the walls. She left the room only to smile at the students. Bakugo huffed. "What's got you in such a mood teach?"

"Eri's finally staying here with us so shush!"

That got everyone grinning Bakugo merely rolled his eyes. Suddenly the door opened and a white haired girl ran in with a big smile on her face and a lollipop in hand. She saw Akemi and bounded over in a hug. "Miss Akemi!"

"Eri!" Akemi picked her up and swung her around in a big circle.

Shota grinned. "Eri...Akemi has some good news for you."

Eri turned to the woman and the students did the same. Akemi smiled softly with tears in her eyes. Eri looked concerned.

"Eri...you get to stay."

It took a moment for the woman's words to comprehend but when it did Eri hugged the woman and cried happily. Akemi held her close and Shota walked over with a grinning Hitoshi who was holding Emiko and smiled as they did a big group hug! Hizashi squealed in joy and ran over and hugged Shota from the left side but the man quickly stomped on his foot.

"OW! Oh Come On Man I'm Family Too!"

Akemi smirked and pulled him closer to her by her hair and rested her head on the Cockatoo's shoulder. "I'm more willing for a hug you happy Cockatoo."

Hizashi grinned before saying. "Okay GROUP HUG!"

The happily tearful students (tearful minus Bakugo) swarmed the family and Shota was pinned between Ectoplasm, Snipe, and Midnight. His right eye was twitching crazily at a happily grinning Cockatoo! *HIZASHI!!!*

Eri simply giggled in glee!

Later that night after Shota read Eri her favorite story the couple kissed her forehead softly and left the nightlight on. Akemi smiled softly. "We're two doors down if you need us sweetie. Emiko is a deep sleeper thankfully."

Eri clung to the unicorn plushie Emiko gave to her. She didn't take it back but kept pushing to towards the child as if to say, "keep it" Eri cherished that plushie greatly.

12:00...

Eri shot up in bed panicked over a nightmare she didn't scream her quirk wasn't activated but she was scared. She bit her lip and questioned wether to go to the couple two doors down. She got up and padded over to the main door and turned the doorknob. She peeked out the door and paddled two doors down to the couples bedroom and found the door was unlocked. She opened it slightly and whispered.

"Zawa?"

The soft voice cut through the air like a shard of ice, disturbing Akemi and Shota's already light sleep and bringing a cloud of sadness into the dark room.

Only that it wasn't dark anymore, as the door to their bedroom had been pushed open and allowed a ray of hallway light to come in, though it didn't manage to reach their bed. All it illuminated was a patch of the floor, not covered in anything more than a small plush carpet they had put there for Emiko to play on with Eri.

The light was disturbed by the shadow of the voice's owner, Eri, standing in the door with a stuffed unicorn Emiko had given to her in hand. The girl hugged it close to her chest. She wasn't crying, but her voice had spoken a million words with just the sound of it: Broken, scared, tired. Shota shared a glance with a worried Akemi before he sat up, pushing off the covers in the process, and sighed.
