A nervous 24 year old Shota Aizawa was sitting in front of Nobuyuki Yuriemoto with a ring box in between them. Nobuyuki could see the beads of sweat on the young man's face as he arched a brow.

"Well?"

Shota gulped he was suddenly at a lose for words. "Well Sir I...um I..."

Nobuyuki's brow rose even higher and he swore Shota's face turned a shade whiter. He sighed into a soft smile. "It's a beautiful ring. But why isn't it a diamond?"

Shota smiled softly and spoke

Shota smiled softly and spoke. "She loves the Bloodstone bracelet you got for her birthday and she's never really struck me as a diamond fancying girl. She's unique and deserves something special."

Nobuyuki smiled softly at the care Shota took in picking out the perfect ring. He commented on the color. "Red and navy blue."

He looked up and saw the man blushing. "Representing you and her I'm guessing?"

"Is it too much?"

"No it's lovely."

"So you'll give your blessing?"

"Well..."

Manami glared at her husband. "Nobuyuki enough teasing the boy!"

"I'm entitled to this!"

Manami rolled her eyes. "You have my blessing Shota."

"Thank you Miss Yuriemoto."

"Call me mom Shota."

Nobuyuki frowned and stood up. "Follow me boy."

Shota gulped and followed the man to the master bedroom. "Sir may I ask why you brought me here?"

Nobuyuki pressed the panel and his gun vault appeared. Shota froze over the immense gun collection. "I'm going to set some ground rules first Shota."

He walked in and took his favorite shotgun, Old Ronin, and turned towards the terrified man. He spoke with the safety off. "You love my daughter right?"

"Yes Sir with every fiber of my body and soul."

"You'd be devoted to her? Her and her alone? You'd cherish her? Protect her?" His slate grey eyes turned a dark iron. "Would you even die for her, if it ever comes to that reality?"

Shota was taken aback but nodded firmly with conviction. "I'd rather die than spend the rest of my life without her. She's seen my scars, all the horrors I try to hide even from myself and all the burdens I bare with the memories of my past, and yet she doesn't run from them. I never thought I'd ever love anyone as much as I love her. I only wish to give her everything she desires in her life. I only hope that I can uphold my promises to her."
