"They've GOT to be fucking kidding me!" Right now, you didn't know whether to smash your computer into a billion pieces or go cry in your bedroom. Your hands are shaking and your heart is pounding, a combination of hurt, shock, jealousy, and anger. How could they keep this from you? They're your best friends, they're supposed to tell you EVERYTHING.

But then again, it's not like you tell them everything. You never told them that you've been questioning your sexuality for years, or that you might be in love with Demi in a more than friends way. You thought it would've ruined your friendship with her and Selena, not to mention the fact that Demi is straight.

"Well, WAS straight..." you mutter to yourself. You refresh the page several times to make sure that the latest relationship on Facebook is true. Your heart sinks as you begin to realize that your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.

It was Demi who had updated her relationship status: 'Demi Lovato is now in a relationship with Selena Gomez'. Selena liked it, along with several other mutual friends. What hurt the most though was seeing Demi and Selena's families liking it as well. Had they known that the two had feelings for each other? Were you just so focused on Demi that you hadn't noticed Selena falling for her too?

You slam your laptop shut and practically run to your room. Collapsing on the bed, you begin to rack your mind for any signs that this was coming. No matter how hard you try, you can't come up with anything. You let your head fall to your hands as a few tears begin to leak out of your closed eyes.

Just as you're about to completely break down, the soft buzzing of your phone catches your attention. It's a Twitter notification alerting you that Demi just posted a picture. You almost don't look at it, but something inside you forces you to do so. What you see shatters your heart even more.

Demi has her hands resting on Selena's hips, while Selena has her arms draped over Demi's shoulders. Eyes closed, their lips are pressed together so hard that you can practically feel the passion. Demi captioned it with a heart and "finally happy".

This time, you throw your phone across the room with a frustrated yell. You can hear the screen shatter, but it doesn't matter. Nothing matters. Your entire world revolved around having Demi with you, and in the past 15 minutes that idea has been completely destroyed. You ignore your mom calling out and asking if you're fine after hearing the loud bang that you throwing your phone caused. You aren't okay, not at all. The love of your life just declared to the entire world that she's happy with someone else.

You should've told her. "I'm such a FUCKING IDIOT!" you scream, kicking your nightstand and knocking everything off of it. even if she had rejected you, at least you would've gotten it off your chest. Now you'll never know. She's with Selena, and as much as you want to deny it, you have a feeling that they're going to be together for a long time.

It's going to kill you seeing them together. In fact, it's going to kill you just seeing other people talk about them, about how adorable and perfect for each other they are.

You know what you have to do. You don't want to, but it's necessary to your happiness. If you couldn't be happy with her, than you have no choice but to try and be happy without her. You quickly log onto Facebook again, trying your best to avoid the glaring relationship that keeps popping up. Demi and Selena would be confused, but you wouldn't be able to survive if you pretended everything was okay. With that, you first go to Selena's page and unfriend her. Now for the hard part. Hot tears stream down your face as you click on Demi's profile and hover the mouse over the unfriend button.

You hesitate for a moment, but when you once again see the relationship status you know you have no choice. With shaking hands, you force yourself to unfriend her.

You deactivate your Twitter as well, not wanting to see what any of your followers are saying about them. It breaks your heart, but ultimately your happiness is what's most important. But even if you move on, you'll always regret it. You'll never know what could've been, you should've just fucking told her, but most importantly, you shouldn't have waited so long.
