“Let's go Hollywood, your people are here for you” Your head snapped up to the officer at her mention of the word 'people'. “What? I only called one person...” She pulled you out of the cell and put the handcuffs back on you, which you really didn't think was necessary. “I'm sorry, did I somehow give the impression that I care?” She was really pissing you off, but you did your best to keep your mouth shut before you said something you would regret.

When she brought you to the holding room you were relieved to see it was only your manager, publicist, and bodyguard. “You made it seem like there would be a ton of people” you muttered in annoyance. She just rolled her eyes and took off the cuffs, pushing you into the room and leaving without another word.

Before you could say anything, your manager started to talk. “Don't even try to talk yourself out of this one. Here, change into this and then we can leave after you get processed out.” She shoved a dark hoodie and jeans into your hands before going back to talking with your publicist. They all looked really pissed off and you didn't really blame them. You walked into the adjacent bathroom and quickly changed.

After processing, which didn't take long, you were finally able to leave. When your bodyguard opened the door you suddenly found yourself getting really nervous. You had good reason though. There was a huge crowd of paparazzi and fans, all desperate to get a picture of you. “Don't stop and keep your mouth shut” your publicist instructed. The instant the crowd caught sight of you they instantly starting calling out. The paparazzi were saying some really hurtful things, but what made you smile was your fans reminding you that they still supported you.

“Do you even know how much trouble you're in? Actually, don't answer that. I knew you had problems but never did I think you would actually be stupid enough to drink and drive!” your manager said as soon as the car door shut. “That's not even what I was pulled over for, I mean if I hadn't ran that stop sign I could've been at home sleeping” you replied before thinking. It came off as a joke even though that wasn't what you intended.

Both her and your publicist glared at you. “Is this all a joke to you? I think we need to have a very serious talk when we get you home.” Talking was the last thing you wanted to do with anyone right now. All you really wanted was to shower and sleep for as long as you could before facing reality. The rest of the ride was spent in utter silence, and you were relieved when the driver finally pulled up in front of your house.

Well, until you saw Demi's car that is. Your parents car was there too, but you had expected that. Why was Demi here? You didn't see her in it so you assumed that somehow your parents had gotten into your house and they probably let her in. “We'll be back later to sort everything out. Get some rest and call us when you're up” your manager said before opening the door so you could get out. You nodded even though you had no intention of calling.

You walked into your house, finding your parents and Demi sitting in the living room. They all looked at you with extremely disappointed expressions. “I'm just gonna go shower and go to bed” you muttered before ducking your head and scurrying upstairs. You had honestly never been so ashamed in your entire life. You leaned against the shower wall, letting the hot water wash away the filth of the jail.

When you were done you shut the water off, then dried yourself before slipping on an oversized shirt and sweats. You laid face down on your bed, deeply inhaling the clean scent. Someone, probably your mom, had changed the sheets. You were deep in thought about what would happen now when you felt the empty side of your bed sink down.

You didn't lift your head up to see who it was, because you already knew it was Demi. “Are you mad at me?” you asked quietly. Her voice was soft when she responded. “No. Why would I be?” You flipped over so you could look up at her. “I broke the law. I was drinking and driving, someone could have gotten hurt. And I had drugs in my car...” She shook her head and took your hands in between hers. “I'm not mad, just disappointed and really worried about you. People kept tweeting a link and mentioning you had gotten pulled over but I didn't know what it was. I eventually clicked on it, and someone was actually having a live stream of you being arrested. You were wearing a brave face but I know you were scared and I just wanted to hug you.”

There was a live stream of you being arrested? What the fuck? “You can still hug me if you want” you whispered, almost wishing that she didn't hear it. She made herself comfortable next to you before wrapping her arms around you and tugging you closer to her so your head was resting on her chest. “I missed snuggling with you” she said with a smile. Did she know the effect her words had on you? “I haven't done this with anyone since you” you admitted.

She started playing with the tips of your hair, just like she always used to. “Maybe I should do this everyday then” she suggested. She wouldn't be saying that if she knew how you felt about her. You loved being close to her like this. “Why is your heart beating so fast?” she asked sounding concerned. You squeezed your eyes shut, having been hoping that she wouldn't notice. If you told her the real reason she would probably freak out and leave you again. Life is about taking risks though, right?

“Because that's how you make me feel.” You fully expected her to get up and leave, but she didn't. “Open your eyes” she whispered loud enough for you to hear. When you did, she started talking again. “You're so gorgeous, I swear I could look at you all day and never get tired. Remember how I used to joke that you should have been a model instead of an actress? It's so true, especially now. God, you're so beautiful. I'm so sorry that I took advantage of you that one night. I was selfish and didn't understand it but I wanted you all to myself. I understand it now but it would be so unfair of me to do this again, especially with your issues.”

Hearing her talk only made your heart beat even faster. You shook your head when she mentioned that she took advantage of you, but she just kept talking. You let her finish before speaking up. “It wouldn't be unfair. The only thing that's unfair is us both feeling the same way and not doing anything about it. Because if I'm being honest you're the only thi-” She cut you off with a kiss. You were surprised for just a second before you started kissing back. “Let me be your motivation to work on yourself” she said between kisses. You nodded eagerly, honestly you would do just about anything if she kept kissing you the way she was.
