“Why did you turn that girl down? She was totally into you and you’ve been single for months.” Your head snapped to the side, having completely forgotten that Amanda was in the car with you, which was a little stupid considering that you were driving to her house. “We’re graduating in a few months and I really don’t want to get involved with someone who’s going to dump me the day after graduation” you said with a shrug, almost slamming on the breaks when you saw a car in her driveway that wasn’t supposed to be there.

“Why is my parents car here?” you asked nervously, almost afraid to get out of your car. Amanda looked at you as if you were an idiot. “My mom invited them over last week. Don’t you remember?” You felt sick to your stomach, wondering how long your parents had been inside. You literally had to force yourself to follow Amanda inside.

Three pairs of eyes instantly fell on you as soon as the door opened, and all it took was one look at Demi to confirm what they had been talking about. “I actually don’t feel that great, so I’m just gonna go home and get some rest.” You put your hand on the doorknob only to be stopped by Amanda. “You’re fine, stop acting so weird.” She waved to your parents while walking up to her room, and you kept your eyes glued to the floor as you walked behind her.

“Wow, did you feel how awkward that was? I bet your mom tried to set mine up on another blind date” she laughed while sitting on her bed. You laughed as well, but for a different reason. It almost amazed you how oblivious she was to what you were doing with her mom. You were tired of hiding it, but that didn’t mean you were ready to tell her any time soon. “I doubt that” you muttered, but she didn’t hear you.

When dinner was ready, you were sure that you had actually worried yourself sick. “Y/N, you look like you’re about to throw up. You should stay here in sleep. I’ll tell them that you really don’t feel well.” You mustered up a grateful smile, closing your eyes as soon as she left the room. You fell asleep much faster than you normally do, especially at such an early hour.

You woke up when someone started brushing your hair away from your face. Cracking one eye open, you saw that it was Demi. “Hey you. Feeling any better?” she whispered. You responded by grabbing her arm and pulling her down on the bed with you. “Where’s Amanda?” you mumbled sleepily, snuggling into her side. “I sent her out to get some stuff I needed. She won’t be back for another hour, and your parents left already. They wanted me to send you home as soon as you get up.”

She started to get off of the bed, but you held onto her shirt to prevent her from leaving. “I’m too comfortable” you whined. “Besides, we never have time to just cuddle.” She sighed, but didn’t try to leave again. You placed one hand on the back of her neck, bringing her closer to you for a kiss. “I love you” she whispered as you pressed your body against hers.

It was nice to just be with her in this way, kissing without the intention of doing anything else. You were both so caught up in the soft kisses that neither of you heard footsteps on the stairs. “Mom?!” You jumped away from Demi at the sound of Amanda’s voice, looking at the doorway to see her shocked and disgusted face. You started to talk, but Demi shut you up by placing her hand on your arm. “Amanda, sweetie, if you just calm down I promise I can explain everything.”
