After hearing how the loser of the game would have to leave the school, you couldn't help but be nervous. It wasn't like you didn't have faith in Yumeko to win but there was no trick to winning the game. It was all up to faith and you hated it. Had it been any other game, you wouldn't be as nervous.
The President and Yumeko had already agreed to draw a card, all that was left was to pick who would pick the last card.
"What's your name?"
You tensed up as the President pointed at you.
"It's (full name)."
"Perfect. You'll draw the Future."
You quickly shake your head, unable to say a word about not willing to participate. You couldn't be part of something like this. Yumeko's future would depend on what type of card you would draw and you couldn't handle that pressure.
"Oh yes! You'll be perfect for it."
"I...I can't, Yumeko."
She gives you a warm smile as she takes your hands in hers.
"You can. You did amazing when Midari forced me to gamble with her. I believe this gamble is much easier to handle. I can't promise you that everything will be fine but I can't think of a better person to pick the Future." You felt a little calmer as she slid her ring in your finger. "Will you please do this for me?"
"I will."

You started to fidget in your spot as you stared at the cards around you. You could feel everyone's eyes on you while you searched for a card to pick. Playing with Yumeko's ring in your finger helped you keep calm but the pressure of picking the correct card was piling up on you as you heard Mary and Itsuki to pick a card.
Yumeko wraps an arm around your waist while she places her other hand on top of yours.
"Do it. Just pick a card, (y/n). Whatever happens, it's all up to faith. Don't overthink it. Just pick whatever card feels right."
You closed your eyes to take a deep breath and then made your way to pick your selection. You started to sweat as your hand hovered over the card.
"Is that your pick, (y/n)."
You hear Runa ask from the balcony. Before you say anything, you turn around to look at Yumeko. She nods while silently saying 'it's okay.'
You take another deep breath and flip the card over.
"Judgement in the upright position! Plus 20 points, bringing the score to a total of zero! We have a tie!"
At her words, you can't help but let out a sigh of relief.
"I told you that you were the perfect person for Future." She whispers to you as the two of you hug each other. You tried to hand her back the ring but she refused it. "I think you should keep it for now, think of it as a promise ring."
