"Oh hey guys it's Y/N here and welcome to this week's video where you guys requested I do the animal tag. So let's get to it." you said to your camera.
Josh sat behind the camera with your dog and cat ready to hand them to you once you asked. You had been dating for the past 5 months and he always helped you with your filming.
"So I'm gonna start out with my cat, his name is Jasper and he's a Maine coon. I got him when I graduated from college 4 years ago, so I wouldn't be so lonely." you started. You continued to talk about how, where, and why you got the cat.
Once you were finished with the cat you put the cat down on the floor.
"Babe, can I have the dog now?" you asked Josh.
"Do you think this is a good idea?" Josh asked keeping the dog in his lap.
"What are you scared our 'child' will get to use to the fame." you joked.
"You know what I mean Y/N. I've posted pictures of her on my social media and some of your subscribers might realize that it's the same dog. I don't want our relationship public." he said.
"Josh nobody will pick up on it. Please." you begged him.
"Fine."
"Okay so this is my dog Gracie." you started before Josh handed you the dog. Holding your hands out Josh handed the dog over.
"We- I mean I got her 3 weeks ago and she's a boston terrier." you continued answering all the questions that the tag required.
"Okay, so that's all for today. Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe and like this video. Bye!" you said and Josh turned off the camera for you.
"Are you going to edit out the part where we talked. I don't want them recognizing my voice." Josh said with a slight panicked tone.
"Yes Josh, I always do. Why are you so freaked right now?" you said as you started putting away your filming equipment.
"I just don't want people knowing about us yet. I really like where our relationship is and i don't want anything getting in the way of it." he said coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around you waist.
You let him pull you into a hug and you turned to face him and placed a kiss on his lips.
"Nothing can get in the way of us as long as we don't allow it to." you said.
He gave you a smile and kissed you again.
"I love you Y/N. you know that right?"
"Yes, I do. Now let's go get some food then I'm gonna start editing the video."
That night you spent 2 hours editing the 6 minute video. You got all of Josh out of the video except one part. You didn't realize at the time but when you started talking about the dog Josh still had her and you couldn't edit it out because it had important information. You also realized that when he handed you Gracie that a part of his tattooed arm showed. There was no way to get rid of it without messing up that whole part of the video.
You didn't really care if people knew, I mean they were gonna find out eventually right?
Josh was the one having a hard time telling people. You were ready but for some reason he just wasn't.
The next day you uploaded the video and you always liked to watch it with Josh.
"Hey babe, wanna watch the video with me?" you asked when Josh came over that day.
"Sure. Has anyone caught on yet, you know to Gracie?" he asked when he sat down next to you on your couch.
You just shrugged and played the video. You sat cuddled up next to Josh as you both watch. Then it came to the part where Josh showed in the video.
"Y/N I thought you said you got all of me out of the video." Josh said sitting up.
"Look, I tried my best. I'm sorry." you said sitting up as well.
Josh stood up and started to walk away. He looked really pissed off. It wasn't that big of a deal, so why was he freaking out.
"Josh where are you going?" you asked.
"I wanted to protect you." he said pulling out his phone and opening twitter. You just stood there looking at him while he looked at his phone. "Well now people know Y/N. I can't protect you anymore." he said looking back up at you.
At this point you realized why he didn't want anyone to know. "Josh I'm sorry. I did my best. I know you want to protect me but from what?" you asked moving towards him.
"People can be harsh Y/N. I love you and I have since day one. I just want to be there and I don't want people to say anything bad about you." he said pulling you into a hug.
"Josh I don't care what they say. I know you love me and I love you so, so much.they can say what they want, but I know most people will be okay with this. I mean look the people who are saying we are together are saying that it is a perfect match."
"You're right. I'm sorry I got mad. I love you." he gave you a loving kiss and they just held your hand looking into your eyes.
"I love you too. Now what do you say we make it officially official and tell both of our fans."
"As long as you're ready, I am." he said.
You pulled out your phone and began looking through some of your favorite pictures you had of the two of you. You picked a picture where he had his smile where his eyes disappeared and you were laughing at him. You posted it on instagram and wrote a caption that said 'wow I love this man. Let's date.'
Then he posted a picture of you two dancing in front of a mirror. He captioned it 'let's date babe. Love you.'
You wanted to make the fans put the pieces together and they did. You phone was blowing up with comments and tweets and support.
"See I told you they would be okay with it." you said to Josh later that night.
"You're right, maybe I should listen to you more often." he said.
"You should." you joked. "I love you."
"I love you too Y/N. Thanks for being such a great person and girlfriend."
