I wrote this on a whim because I was thinking about Estarossa today and decided to write for him. This is probably the longest oneshot I've written so far. Also I needed to use this picture as well because he looks amazing with this design.

Darkness

That was all you could remember after you drank a bottle of Vanya Ale that apparently had sleeping dust in it. It was a special type of dust made by druids that made people sleep if it was consumed. Right before you blacked out, you heard the voice of Meliodas and felt yourself being lifted into someone's arms.

When you woke up, you were in a bed inside of some sort of bar or tavern. You got up and got rid of the binds that had your wrists and feet bound together. After you walked out of the bedroom, you heard a high pitched voice shriek. "She's awake!" it shouted, making you realize that it was you the voice was talking about. You turned around expecting to see a person, but were surprised to find a pig as you started to scream. "AAAAAAAAAH!" you screeched. "AAAAAAAAAH!" the pig screamed back. The two of you went on like that until a hand clamped over your mouth. You punched the person, only to see that it was a girl with brown pigtails and purple eyes. You saw Meliodas in the bar area and stormed toward him. "Meliodas!" you yelled at him, you went to smack him, only for him to catch your hand and throw you to the ground. "Whether you like it or not, you're stuck here. Merlin has her perfect cube around the place. Plus, we're right next to Liones Castle. If you try to run, Holy Knights will chase you until you get tired." he said. You looked at him in shock as tears came to your eyes. "So I can't...leave?" you asked as you tried not to cry. He nodded as you sank to your knees. "Even for you that's cruel, Meliodas." you said. You curled up into a ball in the hallway and sobbed, failing to notice a silver haired woman walk over to you. You flinched when a hand touched your shoulder before you looked, well rather, scowled, up at the person, only to be met with a beautiful white haired lady that looked oddly...familiar, but you couldn't put your thumb on who she was. "You, girl, what's your name?" you asked, waiting for an answer. "Oh, Elizabeth." she said, cheerfully. "Oh really?" you said, scowling at Meliodas, who shook his head no at you as you sighed. "So we're not going to talk about this at all?" you called to him. "No." he replied. "Do you maybe know a reason why he might have kidnapped you?" she asked. You nodded your head up and down as she spoke. "Why did he kidnap you?" she asked. You looked at the demon, and then back at Elizabeth. "I'm his middle brother's lover. His name is Estarossa." you said, eyes still glassy from crying. "You aren't going to try to attack us, are you?" she asked in a soft voice. You shook your head no. "Even if I tried, Meliodas would kill me before I could even touch you. Besides, I have no interest in doing so because I can see where he comes from in a way." you said. You brought out the locket you cherished as you recalled memories from your time with Estarossa. Tears still streamed down your face as you recalled a particular memory that you had relived thousands of times.

You were sitting on one of the hills near where the base was. You heard heavy footsteps and looked up to see your boyfriend, Estarossa. You moved over and patted the ground beside you, telling him to sit. After he sat down, you leaned against his shoulder, sighing as the wind blew through your hair. Your attention was drawn to the male beside you as he spoke. "(Y/N), can you promise me something?" he asked. You looked over at him, a smile on your face. "Yes, Esta?" you asked. He looked at you and hugged you close to his chest, resting his head on top of yours. "Promise me that you'll never leave me." he asked. You looked up at him and gently kissed him on the lips. "Of course. All of my hearts belong to you." you said. The two of you watched the sun set over the hills as the two of you relaxed in the cool grass.

You got up and went to the room you were staying in, only to realize that Meliodas was in the bed in his night clothes. Elizabeth went to the bathroom and got changed as Meliodas tried to go in as well. You blocked him, shaking your head. "So why are you helping her now?" he asked, a smirk playing about his lips. "Because I like to watch you suffer, Meliodas." you said, smacking him into the bed frame as you walked into the bathroom after she was done. You walked in with one of Elizabeth's other nightgowns. After you were dressed, you walked out and curled up on your pillow. It was kind of like Chastiefol, but it had different configurations, and it had a bigger pillow form. You curled up and went to sleep.

The next day, the Sins headed to Vaziel, dragging you along with them as you floated on a cloud of darkness. You chatted with the fairy, Harlequin, as your group made their way to the finish. About one fifth of the way through, you got separated from the group, and were on your own. You smiled, finally free of the burden of being nice to the group of people. You smiled sadly as you thought of Elizabeth. She was a reincarnation of the original goddess, so you felt slightly bad for Meliodas. You shook your head as you tried to get back to your sister, Melascula, and your boyfriend, Estarossa. Just when you thought that things couldn't get bad from there, about half way through, you bumped into Meliodas and the king of Camelot, Arthur. "Oh god, you again." you said, trying to get away as you ran as fast as you could. You escaped through a crack in the wall, crawling through and running some more before you stopped. You saw that you were now stuck with Hendrickson and Griamore and waved to the two as you walked over. Hendrickson was cooking some meat and offered you some. You turned down the food, looking over at him. "I best be going. Don't want to burden the two of you any longer than I have to." you explained as the two waved goodbye to you. You bumped into another group, the three assassin brothers from Malachia. You waved as they nodded. You then summoned your darkness into a sword as you fought off a few creatures here and there before you turned back to the assassins. They all looked surprised as they nodded once more before you left. You knew that even if you left, that Estarossa would still love you. He always would, even if you hated him. You managed to fly out of the maze as you waited at the outside of the walls. After a while, you heard screams and then silence and realized that Gloxinia had used his spirit spear to wipe out the remaining contestants still in the maze. You figured that you could have a few souls, and swiped a few from the people who were still barely alive. You then finished your meal and went back through the maze, eventually getting to the finish line. You nodded at the Sins, who all sighed as you waved to them. You looked up at Gloxinia and Drole, who both used their techniques to create the stadiums. You were with Elizabeth and Elaine against two of the assassin brothers in one stadium. When your group defeated them, you held their collars, saving them from falling into the hole that opened up beneath them. However, one of their shirt collars slipped from your hand, making you drop the other on accident as you tried to grab his hand. You looked at the two girls. "I just had him." you squeaked out, making them nod sympathetically. You saw Escanor's power and then saw him hit Drole and Gloxinia with the attack he charged. You then saw Meliodas jump down and smirked, jumping off of the arena you were in. you landed on your feet as they started to fight, smirking when Meliodas started to win. This was a glimpse of his former self, when he had led the Ten Commandments. You smirked as the murderous intent grew more and more. Before you realized it, Estarossa was behind you, trying to swing his sword at you. You ducked and ran for your life, realizing that he didn't recognize you. Tears rushed down your face as you got back to Liones. You jumped onto the ledge and then called out to the others as you ran to them. You hugged Elizabeth tightly, trying to reassure her that it was going to be ok. You knew that goddesses and demons weren't supposed to be friends, but she was too nice, and too pure for you not to protect. "It's going to be ok Elizabeth. Meliodas is tough, so you don't need to-" you stopped as your gaze flicked to the orb that showed Meliodas being stabbed in his hearts by Estarossa. "The final one, is for kidnapping her." he said, stabbing in the final sword. The Holy Knights all looked at you as the demon flew off with the others. Elizabeth asked to be teleported to Meliodas as the mage did so before teleporting back. You looked at the people around you, eyes going wide as they backed away from you. You took off into the sky, flying as fast as you could to get within radius of Estarossa. You flew and landed close to Edinburgh, collapsing soon after.

When you woke up, you were in someone's arms, and opened your eyes slowly. You opened your eyes fully until you were gazing into two beautiful and familiar black ones. "Estarossa..." you breathed, hugging him close. Even though there was a war going on now, you didn't think about that as you pulled him down to rest. You had two arms wrapped around your waist as you faced the man you had grown to love. You kissed him on the lips softly before you slowly drifted to sleep. Just before you fell asleep, you heard Estarossa speak.

"Welcome back, (Y/N)."
