His stomach tickled as he watched May laugh at something stupid in the movie they had put on. She was adorable covering her mouth while she did her best not to laugh the pizza out of her mouth. He loved the little snorts as she tried not to laugh too loud. He loved tgw sojnd, though, and certainly didn't mind at all.

"I'm sorry, that was gross," May giggled, grabbing her glass of water and taking a sip. Drinking was difficult while laughing, though. Ray shook his head.

"No, I think you're cute," he smiled, reaching over to push her hair behind her ear. She looked like she turned almost shy when he did. "I love your laugh."

"You're cheesier than the pizza," May said, rolling her eyes jokingly. She did have slightly warmer cheeks and a shy smile on her lips.

"Nah, just telling the truth," Ray grinned, leaning over to kiss her pink cheek. "You're wonderful."

May couldn't help but smile at that and put her pizza slice on her plate to place her arms around him. She wanted to be closer.
"You're quite wonderful too, you know," she hummed, kissing him softly. "Very wonderful."

"Wonderful enough to be your boyfriend?" Ray asked, reaching up to caress her cheek. The tickling in his stomach the few moments after he asked were insane. The smile that widened on her lips was the most beautiful thing Ray had ever seen, though, and it assured him.

"Of course you are. More than wonderful enough," May half squeaked with excitement, and Ray pulled her into a tight hug. "I'd love to have you as my boyfriend."

"Yeah? Wanna be my girlfriend then?" Ray asked with the widest of grins on his face. He hugged her tightly to his chest, kissing her hair, her cheek and her lips. His heart was fluttering out of his chest.

"Yes of course I wanna," May giggled, moving slightly back and placing another kiss on his lips. "I'd love to be!"

"I guess it's settled, then," Ray grinned, still holding his arms around her waist. She shifted so she could sit in his lap instead. "You make me so happy, you know that?"

"You make me happy too, Ray. So very happy," May sighed contently, caressing his cheek carefully and feeling the light stubble under her fingertips. "You're the best thing to ever happen to me, I think. I can't believe I got this lucky."

"You're calling me cheesy?" Ray chuckled, leaning into her hand and meeting her beautiful forest green eyes. He felt like he could get lost in them if he focused on them too long.

"We can both be cheesy and make everyone else cringe at the sight of us," May giggled, running her thumb over his cheekbone. "Make all our friends sick from how cheesy we are."

"That's a deal, cutiepie," Ray grinned, proud of the new nickname he had thought of. He had not expected to be out-nicknamed, though.

"You got it, vanilla cupcake," May snorted, and he couldn't help but laugh.

"That's so specific," he pointed out, raising an eyebrow. His smile didn't fade one bit, though.

"It's my favourite."

"Yup, cheesy. Let's grab some more pizza before it gets all cold."
