When we got to the roof, I sat him down on the ground and sat in front of him with my legs criss-crossed. I looked at him, trying to tell him to talk without actually saying anything. Unfortunately he didn't get the hint, so I had to say something.

"So..." He looked up since he heard me start to talk. "What's been going on? What's on your mind?"

He struggled to put his emotions into words. "I...things...what happened was..." He let out a sigh then tried again. "A few days ago my mother went missing. The next day after she was announced 'missing', they found her." His voice broke towards the end. Tears started to roll down his cheeks.

Oh look, now you've done it. You made him cry.

'Wow, haven't heard you in a while.'

You've been such a disappointment lately that I figured that you didn't need me to help with that pain.

'Gee, thanks, how considerate.'

I scooted so I was sitting next to him, then rubbed his shoulder since I couldn't rub his back cause he was leaning against the wall.

"If I may ask, what happened? You don't have to talk about it if it's too hard." I said trying to help, though I'm not good at this sort of thing.

He wiped his tears away and sniffled. "No, it's okay. Umm...my mother went missing, I already said that, but they...they f-found her in an alley...d-...dead." He then let the water works loose. He cried with what little strength he had.

"That's horrible." I whispered as I continued to rub his shoulder. I then waited for him to calm down a bit. While I waited, I generated some tissues for him so he could clean up his face a bit. After he calmed down I asked, "Could you now tell me why you're so pale and weak?"

"I'm always weak!" He wailed before going back to sobbing.

'Fuck! I should have reworded that!'

I sighed then said, "You are not, and that's not what I meant. You could barely walk to the elevator; something's clearly wrong."

He continued to cry for a few minutes before calming down again and explaining with shame in his voice, "Once I got the news that my mother died, depression and wanting to die came back. I went to the store and bought a pack of razors and cut until I was unconscious." He then messed with his arms. "I think that they may have started to bleed again."

"May I see?" I asked kindly. He reluctantly rolled up his sleeves. Under them showed blood soaked bandages, and they were wrapped thicker than what I usually do when mine get completely soaked. His looked like mine, but for how thick his were, I couldn't imagine all of the blood that he must have lost. "May I replace the bandages?"

He then responded in a quiet light headed tone, "Hey, Y/N? I feel so cold; could I have a blanket?" I stopped what I was doing and looked up to his face. He had absolutely no color left to his face. "Could I also have a pillow? I'm so tired." He added in a whisper.

My heart sank when I heard the tone that he was talking in. Now, he sounded weak too, and I knew what was going to happen now. He tried to lay down but I wouldn't let him.

"C'mon, let's stay sitting up." I said, trying to hide that fact that I was scared for his life.

He whined in a weak whisper, "Just a few minutes won't hurt."

I generated a blanket and covered his legs. "Here, I got you that blanket. Now, let's talk about Todoroki, alright? How has he been lately, hmm?" I asked as I unraveled the heavy, blood soaked bandage. I wanted to try and get him to talk about something he loves so then he would talk on and on about it while I messed with his bandages. I didn't want him to stop talking so then I would know when he would lose consciousness.
