I woke up the next morning at eight. I tried to fall asleep again but I couldn't, so I decided to get up and get ready. When I finished doing my hair and convincing myself that I was looking good enough to be out and about, I left my temporary sanctuary to go on the lookout for food. I walked to a small convenience store that was on the island and found myself something to eat. They were having a sale on instant ramen, so I got two cups for the price of one and walked back to my room and made a cup with the coffee maker. Ahh yes, nothing like having ramen that has a hint of a coffee flavor (bleh).
When I finished eating my breakfast, I packed everything into my backpack, looked around the room and bathroom to see if I forgot anything, then left. By the time that I got to the hospital it was about 9:30. I wanted to stop by the hospital and say goodbye to Dave before I left. Just as I was about to open the door to his room, Melissa walked out.
"Oh, hi, Blank. What are you doing here?" Melissa asked as she closed the door behind her.
I threw on a quick and more than likely sloppy smile as I said, "I was going to stop by to see how Dave's doing and to say bye before I leave."
"What? You're leaving so soon?" She asked as if she was shocked.
"Yep, I gotta head back and fight crime there. Can't be gone for too long, ya know?" I said, making an excuse cause I wanted to go back and sleep more and plus, I was getting bored.
"Well, I wish you'd be able to stay longer, but I understand that you can't stay for too long. Thank you very much for coming!" she said as she stepped out of my way.
"No problem; I'm having a lot of fun. I wish that I'd never have to leave, but I have a duty to fulfill back at home. Thank you so much for letting me come here." I said.
"No problem. Try and stop by from time to time, I'm sure that more and more things will be invented in the time that you and all of your friends are away, so after some time you all should come back." she said, inviting us back already.
"I will...we will I mean." I said with a more presentable smile.
She then excused herself, "Well then, till next time."
"Yeah, see you later." I said as she walked away.
I then knocked on the door and walked in cautiously.
"Hello, Blank; what brings you here?" Dave asked with a smile.
I stood at the foot of his bed as I said, "I stopped by to see how you were doing, and to say goodbye."
"You're like Tosh-I mean All Might, you leave soon so you can go back and save people. You aren't gone from your home for too long, correct?" he said with a smile still.
I tried to smile too, "Yeah, I suppose you're right." I paused before I added, "It's fine if you call All Might by his non-hero name. I've known him as Toshinori longer than All Might...I think?" I shrugged my shoulder as I went on, "I don't remember how I met him now that I think of it...I was so young."
He chuckled before saying, "Toshinori told me a lot about you when he stopped by the hospital yesterday."
My face turned red, "Did he now..."
"Yes, you seem to have a big heart for people who have a broken past."
I look down as I say, "I suppose so." I then tried to change the subject, "So, when are you able to leave the hospital?"
"I get to leave later today, nothing too much longer now." he said before taking a sip of water.
I smiled again, "That's good to hear."
