Another day came and went in Juuban. Usagi was running down the streets as fast as she could. After Saphir died the other day, the Guardians and Tuxedo Mask had no choice but to retreat, seeing that they could do nothing. They then made a plan to meet at the Hikawa Shrine and launch an assault on the Malefic Black Crystal once they were well-rested and ready for battle the next day.

As she dashed along, heading for home, Usagi couldn't help but look back towards the Malefic Black Crystal, which at this point had grown to an even bigger size than before, which made her stop and stare as she began to worry.

"The Malefic Black Crystal's grown so big," Usagi thought. "We have to do something and fast."

"Usagi?"

The ordango blonde turned around and saw Naru, whom she hadn't seen in quite some time.

"Usagi, is something wrong?" Naru asked. "You look worried. And you've been acting very strangely." She looked up at the Malefic Black Crystal. "Could it have something to do with that weird phenomenon going on in Downtown?"

Usagi gulped, not expecting such a question. Naru then began to understand.

"I knew it! You know what that's all about, don't you?" Naru went on, getting worried. "And where's Harusuke? I haven't seen him in a while. Is he in trouble? Usagi, if there's anything I can do to help out, just ask."

Usagi stared at Naru, not sure of what to say. If she was being honest, she wanted more than anything to tell Naru about the state of things. Still, she also knew that she couldn't risk putting anyone else in danger, considering that the enemy had taken her brother and her future daughter, so she smiled and pretended to be cheerful.

"Come on, Naru. What makes you think that I know anything about that?" Usagi laughed.

Naru then smiled, too, albeit a bit sadly. "Of course, you wouldn't, and even if you did, you wouldn't be able to talk about it," she said. "But there's something I want to let you know." She then walked over to Usagi and held her hands with hers while staring into her eyes, smiling. "I won't try to pry anymore, but I want you to be careful, Usagi. I'll see you and Harusuke at school tomorrow, okay?"

Usagi was surprised and touched and couldn't help but smile too. "Thank you, Naru. I'll see you then."

The ordango blonde then started running again while Naru watched her go.

"Don't be late again, you hear me?!" Naru called out.

Usagi answered with a wave as she continued on her way. "I'm sorry for not being able to tell you the truth, Naru," she thought. "But for your sake, as well as everyone else, my friends and I will do everything we can to protect the Earth. I promise."

As Naru watched Usagi disappear into the distance, she looked up towards the sky, saying a prayer for her dear friend. "Oh, God, if you're there, please protect Usagi and the others and our world."

Back on the Planet Nemesis in the reactor room, Prince Demande was keeping his eye on the Malefic Black Crystal Reactor, which was now once again teeming with power thanks to Wiseman reacquiring the card. But Prince Demande was still upset and angry over what Wiseman had done to Saphir.

Wiseman then appeared, and when Prince Demande saw him, he scowled, wanting nothing more than the kill the specter. "You've got a lot of nerve showing yourself to me after what you've done, Wiseman," the prince spoke coldly. "You not only ignored my orders, but you also killed Saphir for no reason at all!"
