There is a raven outside the window. He's looking through the glass. His eyes filled with a curiosity no one can really understand. No one but the raven. His eyes pierce through everything, they are intelligent.

Filled with curiosity he sits there. But he does not move. He only watches for the next move. As if he was watching his prey. He sits still and waits. He will not move closer and he will not move away. Caged within his own intellect and instinct.

There is a raven outside the window. He's looking through the glass. There is no sound coming from his beak. Not even his feathers are rustling. He is nothing but a beast looking through glass. Admiring a place he cannot reach.

The raven is a beast. He can mimic human sounds. Can caw and confuse. But a beast is not human. Even with its intelligence, it has learned to survive through instincts. He is smart and can survive but those feats are also his doom. Since he is nothing but a beast caged by instinct and intellect.

Mori looks up from his documents. He had been reading some outside to get a bit of fresh air. They aren't really important so it was fine to read them in public. Not to mention that the doctor himself knew that he should try getting more sunlight and fresh air.

His eyes met the one of the birds that was sitting on a pole. The bird that had until now only fixated that one window. Had he seen a treasure he wanted to steal? Even though it would never be truly his?

Mori stood up and sighed. It was time now for his meeting with the agency. He wasn't really keen about attending. How troublesome it was that they had to make a big deal out of everything. The mafia had only dealt with one of their 'troubling customers' while they were taken in by the agency...

There was still some time before the meeting but Mori preferred to be the early one. That meant he knew everything about the place already when the other party arrived. He could look out for traps and stop them from preparing anything beforehand.

Not to mention that drinking a coffee right now didn't sound too bad...

The black-haired male was looking out the window. His eyes fixated on all those passerby's. They were chatting indistinctively. Going around their usual pointless routine. Passing by like clouds.

There was no one to break through the pattern. No-one stopped walking or turned around. It was a pattern so easy to distinguish that it had already become boring for Mori.

A quiet ringing pronounced that another customer had come in. Once again Mori turned towards the door seeing a tall man in a Yukata entering. And not to say he DID NOT look amused. Not at all. Even less than usual.

"Mori.", he greeted the mafia Boss with a cold voice.

"Fukuzawa", Mori gave the other one a smile. He wouldn't show his resentment so openly after all. Not that Mori absolutely hated Fukuzawa. He was more... annoyed with this meeting and how much time he would lose through it...

Fukuzawa didn't really beat around the bush. Just as he was starting to sit down he already started talking: "Explain to me why one of YOUR sniper's headshot one of OUR suspects". A grim look was plastered on his face.

"Oh my!~ Did that happen?~ Sorry we have so many snipers, it's hard to keep them all in check~", Mori chuckled a bit. He also smiled as sweetly as he could. If the normally indifferent agency boss was already this angry then it was time to see him annoyed!

It was at least more interesting than those who just went along their way with no clear line. No idea and only their holy routine to follow. Not that Mori wanted to see the other one furious but annoyed seemed very tempting...

Just as expected came a stare of disappointment and then slight anger. Mori had slowly grown accustomed to guessing all of Fukuzawa's different moods even though his face didn't change at all. It really was an entertaining thing...

"You remind me of that raven there", Fukuzawa said as he sighed. He leaned back and nodded towards the window. A raven was sitting on a pole looking at something they couldn't see.

"How is that?", Mori raised an eyebrow. He then also raised his hand to indicate to the waitress that he would be ordering what he had told her beforehand: Another coffee and a green tea.

"You both just stare at things. Is my face so interesting or what?", Fukuzawa looked back at the one he was originally angry at. However, their meetings weren't really rare. Therefore the anger wasn't really long as well as it began happening more often...

Mori chuckled as he turned to look at the big blackbird. The bird that was only watching and never interfering. Gathering things that seemed beautiful but were just meaningless in the end. A beast that was so smart yet had been caged by his own instincts. A beast that longed to survive but felt empty.

"I guess you do have a point... Maybe I should let one of our snipers loose...".

"To kill me for that comment?", Fukuzawa questioned. It was just a simple question, no worry nor hatred could be heard within it.

"No. To kill the raven. There cannot be two of us with such a beautiful black gown and black hair", Mori joked while flipping his loose hair back.

It was silent for a moment as they both took a sip from their beverages. But it wasn't a tense one but it seemed so... so relaxed. As if for once they both took a moment and really let go of their worries.

After a while Fukuzawa took another sip from his tea: "Kunikida has been scolding me that I don't take these meetings seriously".

"And I don't take your complaint seriously. Which makes our meeting ultimately irrelevant and just for show. Just as in any other meeting we will just go home grasping our opinions tight because we think they are absolute", the black-haired male shrugged.

"That is also the truth", Fukuzawa agreed and added after a while: "When do you want this break to be over?".

"Counter question: When do you want to go back to your trouble children?", Mori chuckled. As a silent answer, Fukuzawa only ordered a tea and a strawberry cake for both of them.

"You know that we both don't really like strawberry cake, don't you?"

"Seems like this is going to be a long meeting", Fukuzawa answered.

Surprisingly enough Mori didn't hate the idea of staying. Despite being wasted time it felt so... relaxing. As if finally he wasn't caged in his intellect and instincts. As if it didn't matter how smart or who he was.

It was truly confusing how you could feel so safe around a person that had tried to kill you countless times. But maybe it was because Mori knew that Fukuzawa would not do that behind his back. And maybe it was that Fukuzawa knew that Mori wouldn't disturb the balance if there was no absolute emergency...
