It had been a long week for Fukuzawa. Working non-stop to try and bring a little peace into Yokohama. There just had been so much going on. Every member of the agency was overworked at the end of the day.

Dazai had excused himself to get on a certain Mafioso nerves. The brunette always claimed that by doing so he 'might commit suicide by overworking himself on purpose'. Fukuzawa was always a little confused by this claim. Though how could he ever understand why Dazai was lying?

There was no purpose to lie after all. What would change if Dazai admitted that he rested the best when he was with Chuuya? Especially when the brunette's big smile and laugh would give him away every time he saw the red-haired mafioso. There wasn't even a chance of Chuuya getting hurt because of this. Who would dare to do that? Or better: Who COULD even do that?

Ranpo had refused to even just stand up after everything was over. Not even when Kunikida tried to lure him with sweets. Poe had to come to the agency and pick him up. Like literally picking Ranpo up. Still, Poe seemed somewhat happy that Ranpo relied on him... Still, Fukuzawa was disappointed how his bratty child treated his boyfriend... What did he do wrong while raising the boy...

Yosano walked home with her wife as well. Sometimes Fukuzawa wondered about those two. He thought it was nice how they found love with all the darkness in their heads. How they loved each other despite all that was weighing on them. How they smiled only seeing the other one in front of them, not the occupation but maybe something like the other 'soul'.

Still, there was something concerning. Something that he had come to notice some time ago: How long had they called each other 'wife'? Had there ever been a 'girlfriend/partner/spouse' time? Had he forgotten such a time ever existed because now Yosano wouldn't stop talking about her lovely wife? Was there ever an engagement or did he forget that? He couldn't tell and it was a bit unsettling

Fukuzawa had once voiced his concerns to Kunikida while they were playing Shogi. Ever since Kunikida would check his calendar or look at Yosano confused and horrified. It seemed like Fukuzawa wasn't the only one who could not grasp this mystery.

As for Kunikida, he went to clean Katai's apartment. The tall man was a workaholic after all. Plus he seemed to enjoy taking care of those he loved very much. So Fukuzawa never said anything unless he found Kunikida to be hurting himself by doing so.

Atsushi also went to the shopping mall. The white-haired boy claimed that he wanted to go to the sale. However, Fukuzawa did hear his conversation with Koyo where he had asked if the black dog of the mafia COULD be at the sale...

So after the others left as well Fukuzawa had locked up the office and went his ways. He walked the streets alone looking at the sky. Dawn was breaking the sky into tiny pieces of art. There weren't many people on the streets.

The faces of those he walked past were tired and monotone. They started their daily routine without knowing what had happened in the night. Without ever knowing how much danger the city had been for a week.

Those walks weren't bad. Fukuzawa always caught himself enjoying them. Seeing the beauty that he tried to protect. Knowing that nothing he did was a waste as it was to help. Seeing the sky greet him despite all his exhaustion and fatigue.

The agency boss felt a little surge of energy. It was confusing how he had even a little bit left. But he indulged in it and kept walking. Cleared his head and went through bustling streets and quiet alleyways. Through quiet parks and the slightly wet grass.

Trees were covering the sky and disappearing again. Gravel was crunching underneath his shoes and a small breeze cleared all the rest of his thoughts. The sun was warm and he felt like the whole world had slowed down to take a break as well.

Had it been ten minutes or half an hour since he started walking? Fukuzawa checked the position of the sun as he had no clock on him. It had probably been an hour or so.

And as the agency boss looked lowered his head again he saw a certain figure standing right in front of him. A man with black hair like coal was slightly covering his face. Mori usually kept his hair straight and well tied together but now it seemed to be a little bit ruffled. His clothes also seemed to be a little bit wrinkled. His expression seemed zoned out and a little-

The eyes of the mafia boss focused immediately upon seeing someone in front of him. A wide smile replaced the exhausted face. It was a lie plastered on the face that had deeper eyebags than a black long haired teenager Fukuzawa had once seen... He wondered what that boy would be doing now as he seemed to carry the whole world on his shoulders, walking beside his white-haired friend...

"Hello there!", Mori greeted Fukuzawa with a sickening sweet voice. Fukuzawa felt his eyebrow twitching. He had no energy to deal with that man now...

So he only nodded and glared. Hoping he could make this quick and easy. Instinctively he moved one hand towards his sword. You could never trust the mafia boss after all.

Mori's smile disappeared. "Oh not now dear", he said with not even a shred of mocking tone in his voice. How confusing.

Fukuzawa lowered his guard again a little bit, taking his hand away from the grip. He didn't know why but looking at Mori made him think that he wasn't much of a threat right now. Not to mention that he felt less annoyed since Mori dropped his façade and the sickening smile.

"I'm only here to take a breath. Unlike you, we still have a lot to do and take care of. This right now is just the calm of the storm for us...", Mori sighed and gestured towards a bench. He didn't even wait for Fukuzawa's answer and just sat down.

"Where's Elise?", Fukuzawa said and sat down next to his enemy.

"Eating sweets I think".

"You think?"

"Believe it or not, I don't know everything she's doing. Especially when she forbids me from talking to her or when she plays with Q...", Mori raised an eyebrow. His eyes only focused on the sight in front of them while Fukuzawa kept an eye on his enemy.

"How amusing", Fukuzawa nodded.

Mori scoffed: "Still you didn't even smile! Being amused by others' misery, tell me aren't you supposed to be on the 'good' side?"

"I only am when my enemy is miserable at such a small thing", Fukuzawa shrugged and leaned back a little. He felt a little fascinated by how Mori rolled his eyes and how Mori smiled a little. It was quick and almost unnoticeable. Not a wide smile, not a toothy one. Just a little twitch on the corner of his mouth. Something genuine that Mori tried to keep hidden...

Why was it that Fukuzawa never knew this man? He had known the façade for years but how much did he know beyond that? How much was there that wasn't 'the mafia boss'?

Once again a fake smile started to infest Mori's face and he turned his head to look at Fukuzawa. "You're staring holes into me Fukuzawa. I am not going to attack you, I have better things to do. Or is there something else you want? Buy me dinner then first", Mori joked with a fake smile.

Was the smile for Mori a way to keep his emotions hidden? Fukuzawa knew that Mori tried to push him away with this stupid joke. But right now it didn't seem like a bad idea.

Eating something seemed nice. Eating something with the company seemed even better. Not like talking all the time but just another presence. Not being alone at the end of the day seemed to be something... Next to the fact that there was no way there could be a surprise attack with the two of them.

"Why not? Though I won't pay for you", Fukuzawa said and stood up. He looked at Mori as the fake smile disappeared and confusion spread over his face. Way better. "I won't force you", Fukuzawa said and started walking towards a new restaurant he saw.

After a few steps, he heard fast footsteps. Then Mori walked beside him. They didn't talk but they didn't need to do that. Not being alone was enough for now.
