"Daddy."
"Yeah, Lulu?" Puck asked, looking at the dirty blonde.
"How come there's fireworks?" Lucy wondered.
"There's always fireworks on the Fourth of July." Puck replied.
"Why?" The four-year-old asked.
"To celebrate." Puck answered.
"To celebrate what?" Lucy questioned Puck.
"You." Puck told Lucy as he scooped her up. "And your birthday."
"And America's birthday." Beth muttered.
"Shh." Puck hushed her. "What's your favorite color, Lulu?"
"Blue!" Lucy exclaimed.
Puck nodded. "Watch, this next one's gonna be blue."
The pair watched the neighbor light the firework. It shot up into the sky, bursting into a blue light.
"Whoa!" Lucy grinned at Puck.
"Happy birthday, princess." Puck smiled as he kissed Lucy's cheek. "I love you, Lulu."
