My Dog

(I was gonna post this on my MB, but it "exceeded character limit", and it became a huge rant anyways.)

GOOD NEWS and bad news.

The good news is WE'RE GETTING A KITTEN TOMORROW, AND HE'S GOT 2 DIFFERENT COLORED EYES!!!

Bad news, our dog is getting aggressive to the point that we are debating getting rid of him.
Not putting down. We're against that stuff unless the dog is sick and in horrible pain.

He usually just growled at the boys, so my parents thought it was a male thing. Still bad though and they'd tried to stop it. My brother can be 2 feet away from him while walking by, and the dog will growl, even to the 2 year old.

Well, that's debunked now after a few minutes ago.

My youngest sister opened the bathroom door and both the dog and the puppy were drinking out of the toilet.
All my sister did was tell them to get out, and he growls at her. She's freaking young, not even double digits!
So my mom hears in the laundry room, which is right next to that bathroom, and she comes in yelling at him.

He has never done this, but he literally started foaming at the mouth and bared his teeth at her while he growled.

Now, in our household, we're against animal cruelty. Animals are family. Last time my parents ever actually beat a dog was when we came inside to our cat in a bloody mess and our older male dog (died from a random drug needle some freak left) with a bloody mouth, and left that cat's breast feeding kittens without a mother, and that was years ago. They still regret it though.

Well, tonight, my dad kind of beat the dog. First time he actually did that. This time, can't even feel bad. This dog who we've literally bottle fed, made sure he knew he was family, is acting all aggressive, over something like drinking out of the toilet. And it's not thirst or hunger, he was given a bowl of food and a bucket of water big enough to hydrate 3 me's just an hour ago!

The issue is that if he's going to be this aggressive with the adults around, he can possibly injure or kill one of the younger ones when I'm babysitting if I'm not paying attention for a split second.
The puppy doesn't get hostile at all. The only time she growls is when she's playing.

The only reason we haven't gotten rid of him yet is because, despite his bs, we're still scared that maybe some dog fighter would see this Rottweiler pitbull husky mix who's aggressive and take him in for fighting.
But it's getting to a point where it's him or the kids. And if the kids get seriously injured or even killed, then he'll end up the same way.
