Proper Grammar Is Racist

TW:
Racism

I just saw some BS where a highschool English teacher says "Grammar is by white supremacists and we don't teach proper writing here because it's racist!"

She's white. White skin, blonde hair, blue eyes. Saying that non-white kids can't handle real world grammar.
And she's supposed to be a literary teacher.

Ah, yes. Because black kids who want to be famous authors with well written stories when they grow up shouldn't have such a dream. Because they shouldn't be 30 with the grammar of an 8 year old all because a teacher refused to teach them crap and be a White Savior.

And I don't know, but this sounds pretty racist to me, seemingly saying people of color can't learn proper English grammar.

Here's what she literally said

"what if I started my school year with a unit honoring how we talk rather than teaching students how to write properly"

"Just because your teachers, your professors, and your boss may expect you to write and speak in a certain way that may not be natural to you, does not mean that your more natural... languages are not important. They are just as important, if not more important than the 'language of respectability."

Did this girl really just say "Well, all these jobs need to stop expecting people who talk respectably!" Or am I misreading crap?

How is teaching a kid it's "I can't reach it" or "I can not reach it", and not "I can't not reach it", racist?
Like, she goes on to say that grammar was made by white supremacist and blah blah. Like different languages from all over the world don't have their own forms of grammar. Think the Chinese language has no grammar? Here in the US, though there's many languages spoken here, an English school is going to teach English grammar stuff (though some may have a class specifically for learning other languages). Where as in China, they're going to teach proper Chinese grammar in Chinese schools. In Ireland, they're going to teach Irish grammar in Irish schools. And so on.  Therefore, schools that mostly speak and teach English are going to have English grammar.

Now I can see why my parents wanted me homeschooled instead.

What if a black kid wants to be a Western Horror author when they grow up? Their book isn't going to be very well received if there's a lot grammatical errors.

This sounds like that English-speaking teacher that said Reading Is Racist towards non-white kids, implying that not only are white kids the only ones who can read and write, but that children of color either can't read or who's parents never taught them.

Or that one that said Math is racist. Like you shouldn't do the math to figure out how much your groceries would all cost together, or how much pay you'd get if you decide to do a little overtime. And apparently says that people of color can't count properly. There's literally myths from different cultures where a vampire type creature can be stopped by dropping stuff for it to count. Most likely where Sesame Street got the idea to have a counting vampire. And if a black person wants to be a scientific researcher, or a latino person wants to be a doctor, they HAVE to know math! But due to teachers like this, they might have a harder time being able to get those jobs.

By trying not to be racist, they're being racist.

And just because someone is young doesn't mean they can't be smart with grammar. There's most likely some black or latino 9 year olds who know better grammar than the rest of their class because their parents taught them or were lucky to get good teachers. I am white, and I was already reading and writing when I was 3, we even have a mini book I wrote from then still. And all I had was my parents, who were still kind of trailer trash tweakers at the time, teaching me. And there's most likely plenty of other kids who went through a similar learning way.
Age doesn't necessarily equal intelligence. You can gain more as you age, and there's of course stuff you SHOULDN'T learn until you're older, but your age and skin doesn't decide how bright your lightbulb shines. Humans no matter the skin color are capable of being geniuses while very young.

There was a time where people fought for people of color to have proper education because they were seen as not-as-bright as white people, right? Now school is trying to dumb itself down because they STILL think those kids aren't smart enough to learn proper education.
FFS, these people are basically acting like skin color is a learning disability! How does that NOT seem racist!?

I have my own level of smartness, but there are some Black people who can build better machines than me, Asian people who can write better fantasies than me, Latino people who can sing better than me.
But there is also the vice-versa, there are going to be some dimmer than me, too. But that's because they're all humans. Some will be brighter, some will be dimmer, some will be around the same level. It depends on their own lives and what they learned through it. Not by their skin color. We all have the same thing of pink blobs in our head. Black, white, brown. Doesn't matter.

So to try and dumb down lessons because "they're racist" is basically saying kids who aren't white are too dumb to learn much, which is NOT true.

Imagine being a kid in HS (as where the teacher works), you're dealing with hormones, self-esteem issues, you have popular kids around, the bullies, etc, and your teacher says they're going to turn down the lesson so people like you who aren't white can understand it. Sounds like a fuking insult to your intelligence AND your race, doesn't it? Well, kids in her class don't have to imagine it.
And she's straight up said "I'm not going to get fired, b!tch. There's a teacher shortage. The kids LOVE me!"

Yet here in the US (where a lot of this "teaching" is happening), if you prefer to teach your kid yourself and not take them to school, you can be at risk of CPS coming.

I may not be the brightest, but I learned more useful things from my family, or even on my own, than I did in school. How to cook, clean, how to program a remote, how to read, how money works, a bit on how a cars feeling and/or sound can be a bad thing, how to create things in 3D, how to figure out how much I can get with a certain amount of money.

Meanwhile in school, I learned...a story about a dude who killed his father and got with his mother. And a bit on better writing by my actually good English teacher (who was actually one of the actually chill ones who cared about equal education for all her students), I guess. I literally remember nothing else other than having to read Anne Frank and Lord Of The Flies, and I barely remember LOTF. I literally remember none of the lessons other than in English.

Yet these divisive schools are basically mandatory. The only mandatory thing there should be is a checking-up to see if kids are getting proper education at home if they don't go to actual school. (Especially since a lot of schools are more of a popularity contest, and a lot allow bullying or punish the victim)

This is literally making me think when Biden said "Poor kids are just as smart as white kids."
Sounding both that all people of color are poor, and that all white people are rich.
Our own president says this crap. And the schools just keep doing similar crap.

These people are trying to be the heroes, but are really the dystopian villains who limit education.
Literally, think of a story where a higher up person saw a group of people as dumber than people like themselves for no other reason than they're different and have a different past, so they instead make it so that everyone gets the same poor education and makes up knew rules, and then their reason is "I saw a group struggling. So to take away division, I made it so that EVERYONE can learn the same things equally!" Thinking that it was good idea that giving everyone the same bad thing is good.

It's not good. Don't lessen education because YOU see a certain kid who's a bit different from you struggle a little more. Doesn't mean that all kids like them don't learn the same as different people. Ya, some may have a learning disability, but it ain't due to their ethnicity! FFS!

These are the people teaching children. People using them to say 'LOOK AT ME, I'M SO SUPPORTIVE!!!"
Quit using kids to make yourself look like an oh-so-grand hero. You're just a fuking woke weirdo who's only making MORE issues.

Should be noted though that this woman is a pro-fat (as in pro-make-yourself-fat-as-long-as-you're-happy-because-health-doesn't-matter! type) and she's from California. No offense to Cali users on here, but people from there are insane, and my mom was there as a kid and she has quite a few stories to tell.
So ya. I bet this woman is also the type to go with Planned Parenthood about wanting to teach Kindergarteners about "adult" stuff. She's the type to walk into class in a fur suit and start yipping and claim that week is learning about not hating Furries.

Welcome to America, where the people say they're fighting racism by calling other races too dumb to learn, and they get away with it because schools don't give a flying crap about actual education.
