It's always something, isn't it?! It's either Scott or Mitch. Neither of them can be apart for too long!

******

Monday:

Chris whistled at Scott as we walked by. Scott clenched his jaw tight, and kept walking. He didn't want to start anything because he knows how much Mitch would get on to him.

Mitch, of course, hates it when Scott gets into fights with people. Mitch loves how Scott is so protective, don't get me wrong, Mitch just hates it when Scott starts throwing hands because he's always scared about Scott getting hurt. Mitch could care less about the other person, they probably did something or said something to deserve it.

So, Scott continued on like nothing happened. It was hard seeing as Chris was a few steps behind him, following him.

Chris kept calling after Scott, making it even harder.

All Scott had to do was get to the stairs and up to the second floor for his class....

Mitch was having a harder time at home. He could barley talk, so he couldn't tell anyone what he needed or wanted.

He had to lay in bed all day, which seems like a dream but it's not when it's being forced on you.

Nicole kept giving him tea, and the tea would help for two hours before it wore off, to which Nichole would give him more.

Mitch wanted to call Scott so badly just to hear is voice but he knew that if he called, he would distract Scott.

But, lucky for him, Scott should be home in an hour and they can cuddle all day and watch movies while Scott makes Mitch feel better.

Nicole knocked on the bedroom door then peeked her head in.

She smiled at Mitch, "Do you need anything, hun"?

Mitch shook his head, looking down at his phone.

Nicole noticed how Mitch would look at his phone over the past hour. She walked into the room and sat on the side of Mitch's bed.

"Are you missing him"? She asked.

Mitch nodded his head.

"What can I do? You look so sad".

"I just wanna hear his voice". Mitch croaked. Over the hours, his voice was getting better and talking didn't seem like a chore anymore.

"Awe, you'll see him soon. Forty five minutes, and then he can come home and cuddle with you and make you happy again. I hate seeing you mope around all day".

Mitch shrugged his shoulders. "I get really worried about him. He has a problem controlling his temper when it comes to this guy 'Chris'. Chris likes to pick on me and Scott hates his guts".

"Ah, so you're afraid Mr. Hoying is going to get himself and this guy hurt"?

Mitch nodded his head. "Yeah, I don't wanna see a scratch on my Scotty, he's too precious".

Nicole frowned, putting her hand on Mitch's cheek, stroking his cheekbone with her thumb, as a silent comfort, then got up and left the room.

Mitch cuddled further under his and Scott's bed, enjoying Scott's scent while he wasn't here.

Thirty minutes later, Scott walked into the house. And from the sounds going on downstairs, Scott wasn't in a happy mood.

Mitch pulled himself out of bed and walked downstairs. He walked down the hallway and found Scott leaning on one of the kitchen counters.

Mitch put a hand over his mouth, gasping. He ran up to Scott and put his hand on Scott's face.

"Oh.. baby, what happened"? Mitch asked.

Scott had a busted lip and a cut just above his eyebrow, as well as a bruise forming on his shirtless shoulder.

Scott shook his head, "It's nothing, babygirl-"

"Nothing?! Scott, you're hurt"!

"I'm fine. But you're not. You're sick. Go lay back down".

"What?! No! I have to take care of you. I have to clean your cuts. What if they get infected"!

"I'll have Nicole do it. Go get some rest, babygirl".

Mitch clenched and unclenched his jaw. "No. I. Am. Fine. I am going to take care of you, whether you like it or not, so go sit on the couch". Mitch said, pointing his finger towards the living room area.

Scott sighed, grabbing his shirt off of the counter and walking over to the couch, sitting down on it.

Mitch gathered supplies to clean Scott's wounds.

Mitch has had to do this before, so it's not new to him. Scott use to get in so many fights before Mitch made him promise to hold himself back more.

Scott promised but he still gets in a few fights. Most of them being with Chris now.

Mitch finally sat down beside Scott and started cleaning the cut above his eyebrow. Scott flinched at first but relaxed as soon as Mitch's free hand held Scott's.

"I'm sorry I got into a fight, baby boy. I know how much you hate it". Scott said, apology clear in his voice.

Mitch sighed, "It's okay, babe".

"He just... he wouldn't stop. You kept following me around, almost as if he knew I would break, especially without you around to keep me grounded".

"He's trying to get to you, baby. Don't let him. He wants a reaction out of you, he wants you to turn around and yell at him. He likes the attention, so don't give it to him".

Mitch finished cleaning the wounds on Scott's face.

His hands reached up, touching Scott's shoulder. Scott flinched away so much, he almost fell on to the floor.

Mitch's eyes widened at how much Scott moved away from him.

"Are you okay"? Mitch asked.

"He pushed me into a locker. I think I messed my shoulder up".

Mitch frowned. "Oh. Do you want me to call your doctor. He can come by and check it out".

"Yeah, thanks baby".

"You're welcome. Now..... are you still okay to cuddle? I've missed you all day".

Scott smiled, "Always baby".
