Even though the Gilbert girl was determined to find the Forbes vampire and the Lockwood werewolf, she still couldn't help but feel numb as she slowly pushed open the front door of Mystic Grill from the fact that she watched her two best friends get kidnapped by Klaus' witches. It had already been an overly emotional day, so Emily wasn't all that surprised that she didn't feel like her normal and happy self.

Everything in her life seemed like it was all going to shit before it was even beginning, so it was definitely disheartening for the human Petrova doppelganger. Emily's heart was practically broken from witnessing two of the most important people in her life being taken away from her. Emily felt so out of it from everything that has already happened today that she didn't even smile at anyone as she took the first open spot at the bar and only stared straight ahead at the bottles of alcohol while she waited for a bartender to come her way.

"...mily? Emily?" The human Petrova doppelganger, finally, heard as she realized that someone was calling out to her on the right side of her body. The Gilbert girl slowly turned her head to see who wanted her attention before she noticed that she ended up taking a seat right next to Damon and Alaric.

Emily honestly didn't have the energy right now to talk to anyone as she impatiently waited on a bartender to give her her fix of alcohol, so the Gilbert girl only gave her fellow drinking buddies a small nod before she slowly turned back around and faced the row of alcohol that were all calling her name.

The Saltzman teacher worriedly watched the unusually silent Gilbert girl while also confusingly glancing over to the vampire beside him before he finally inquired with his brows pulled together when Emily didn't utter a single word after a full three minutes of them sitting at the bar, "you doing okay?"

Emily didn't want to be bothered right now, so she figured that she would answer her aunt's boyfriend in hopes that he and Damon wouldn't bother her anymore. "Just peachy," the Gilbert girl couldn't help but sarcastically utter as she loudly drummed her point finger against the cherry oak on the bar counter top.

"What are you even doing here?" The annoyed voice of the older Salvatore vampire asked the human girl before Alaric could say anything more. "Shouldn't you being saying your goodbyes?" Damon bitterly questioned as he still wasn't happy with Emily's decision of going along with the original's plan. However, when the Salvatore vampire noticed that the human girl wasn't answering him, Damon egged her on as he taunted her, "what? Cat got your tongue, Princess?"

"Quit it, Damon," the local vampire hunter immediately ordered the vampire that he seemed to call his friend as he was still worried about what was going on with his girlfriend's niece. Alaric ignored the glare that Damon was shooting his way as he focused all of his attention on the Gilbert girl. "Did something happen, Emily?" The Saltzman teacher inquired as he had never seen the human Petrova doppelganger in a state like this.

The older Salvatore didn't give the Gilbert girl a chance to respond to the vampire hunter's question as he instantly released a loud and annoyed scoff. "Who cares," Damon bitterly muttered before he glared his blue irises over at the silent human Petrova doppelganger and continued in that same bitter voice, "she's the one that decided to trust Elijah over her own family."
